Responsibilities

1. QA Operation Management

• Lead the quality planning process and oversee country operations to meet quality and organizational KPIs.
• Drive Carter’s and supplier operational matters at broad and detailed levels, with the ability to scale up and resolve issues efficiently.
• Monitor supplier’s performance closely to develop weekly and monthly work priority plans.
• Develop plans to coach, guide, and train suppliers to execute quality SOPs (new launch/existing)
• CAP management for non-conformities as required.

2. Product Management

• Ensure QA auditors productively manage processes and review regularly to meet product quality and safety standards
• Follow up on product risk management process and achieve consistent results
• Provide guidance for the QA team and suppliers to address production issues (cutting, sewing, packing, placement print, embellishment, etc.)

3. Product safety management (Process and Product)

• Partner with the Product Integrity team to achieve product safety requirements in the bulk production
• Support the executions of product safety processes in line with SOPs and manuals.

4. Develop the QA team

• Mentor and coach QA team members to achieve both individual and team goals.
• Provide insight to the line manager to optimize the development of the individuals and the team
• Promote a ‘One Team’ culture within the QA/PI/ME operation and uphold the Companies Values and Behaviors

5. Cross-Functional collaboration

• Extends cooperation with CSR, ME, Product integrity, and Sourcing teams.
• Communicate critical observations or changes related to factory management, customer base, equipment investments, capacity expansion, etc.

Qualifications

Must have

• Extensive experience in kid’s wear production and quality management process. Managing a large-scale operation for a buyer is preferred.
• Work experience with teams in multiple locations
• Well-experienced with USA and Canada regulatory requirements for Kid’s wear

Preferred skills and experience

• Proven track record with a progressive career, demonstrating leadership in managing dynamic teams.
• Strong experience in factory technical assessments and CAP management
• Good analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Solid knowledge of contemporary quality management methods and tools (Lean/FMEA/Flow charts/TQM)
• Technical knowledge in the following areas

+ Embellishment (Placement printing, washing, embroidery)

+ Textile and apparel performance testing (Fair knowledge)

+ Paper pattern (Basic)

+ Fabric (Basic processes, Specification identification, performance)

+ Special process management such as GOTS / Organic Cotton / FR

• Willing to have frequent travels domestically and internationally.
