- Performs active sales and market development activities, within the assigned geographical area, for Reefer business and for the applicable niche segments
- Conducts client visits, alone or jointly with Sales
- Responds to requests for quotation with appropriate commercial offer, and/or offers full support to Sales in finding appropriate solution and offer, in combination with pricing
- Offers full support when company participates in tenders
- Follows up on the offers and collects feedback from the client or Sales
- Reports all sales activities, including details about potential business and decision makers, in CRM
- To take up additional assignments/tasks as assigned
- Responsible for the financial result of the Sea Import & Export Reefer profit centres related to the assigned geographical area
- Responsible for achieving budget targets defined for the department
- Responsible for correct and compliant Bordero handling
- Responsible for set-up and continuous improvement of work-flow and operational procedures within the department
- Monitors KPIs and takes corrective actions if needed
- Manages company’s Reefer business within the assigned geographical area, including it’s niche segments if applicable (e.g. Pharma, Flexi Tank, Tank Container, Foodstuff, Perishables, etc)
- Implements corporate and national product strategy and SOPs within own department
- Develops the business within own profit centre-gain additional business from existing or new clients
- Sources and negotiates buying conditions (prices and space allocations) with third parties for business in charge
- Issues obligatory instructions and information towards own team, monitors compliance
- Develops quality constantly, also in view of IFS, GDP and ISO certifications
- Manages and develops global agent relationships for business in charge, in coordination with the functional superior
- Communicates in a polite and professional manner
- Handles with good faith in the interest of the company
- Respects all internal rules and regulations, as well as country’s law
- Shows diplomacy when handling conflict situations. Request written opinion and escalate the problem as soon solution is beyond own authority level
- Performs additional tasks, assigned by the employer as per employee’s qualification and role, according to company’s operational needs
- Uses company’s goods and equipment’s according to their destination, and only in the interest of the job
- Does not disclose own passwords, nor passes on access card or key to
- University degree in Business Administration/ Logistics or equivalent
- At least 4years in Sea freight Reefer in terms of:
- Operations
- Product implementation and communication to sales and operation
- Supplier negotiations and personal contacts
- Key account sales and business development
- Freight forwarding industry
- Basic computer knowledge / skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- AS400 & FM3000 know-how in related functions.
- S.P.O.T. know-how and ability to demonstrate internally / externally
- Fluent in English language
- Proven track records in professional business development
- Result oriented with ultimate focus on sales number
- Self-starter and self-motivated in growing existing business and in hunting for new business
- Strong customer focus and be able to think on their shoes
- Strong presentation skills with ability to present the company internally and externally English with 100% confident.
