• Be responsible for daily import & export customs procedures/ documents and improve the accuracy and efficiency of the import & export processes.
• Continuously improve knowledge about Vietnam regulations and laws related to import and export, law on customs, and timely update changes (if any) to external and internal.
• In charge of transportation operations of inbound and outbound

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Responsible for handling import and export customs procedures and documents.
• To ensure the compliance of customs formality.
• Customs procedures consultancy to external Customers, and internal Customers.
• Establish SOPs and working instructions for daily routine tasks.
• Following up on the assigned KPIs such as On-time Delivery, Backorder rate, Forecast accuracy, Actual transport cost vs budget monthly, and proposing an idea or action hourly to help KPIs on track timely.
• Timely update information on shipments/ deliveries for customers when required.
• Work closely with the Planning team to determine the promise date and communicate to relevant parties.
• To ensure all transactions related to import and export processes in SAP are performed correctly and timely.
• To bear responsibility for the adequate execution and optimization of all import & export activities
• Deploy inbound and outbound transportation to satisfy business needs and customer requests (including internal Departments, direct Customers & intercompany Distribution Centers).
• Closely monitor the day-to-day running of transportation operations with customers and suppliers/transporters.
• Reconciling the transport cost accurately and timely with 3PLs and the SSC team.
• To take the lead in conducting root cause analysis for issues/variances and perform defined corrective & preventive action plans to avoid reoccurrence.
• Main participation in the elaboration of HS tariff numbers when required, including but not limited to raw materials, finished goods, spare parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Promptly updates new legal requirements, policies, and regulations on the import and export of goods to and from overseas.
• Liaise with external parties (service providers, customs officers, nominated forwarders, …) for import & export activities.
• Accountable for maintaining master data in SAP for respective areas accurately.
• Supervise, coach, and train the workforce on related activities.
• To inform Management of any irregularities or problems that require assistance.
• Monitor and improve operative costs budget of customs & transportation.
• To drive spending and cost reduction, while maximizing business value.
• Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate.
• To organize work meetings and consultation with departments/divisions concerned.
• Assist in developing efficient and effective import-export processes to reduce operational cost.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
• Having the authorities within the assigned function.
• Adhere to Company Quality systems.
• Adhere to Company Safety Rules.
