Purpose of the role

As the backend developer, you will build useful and disruptive products, design anddevelop company applications, and coordinate a backend development team to deliver quality software technologies and systems. You will provide technical input to product teams and stakeholders to help make business and product decisions and be part of creating great technology products. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity that will increase your experience in a fast moving product startup company. What will you do?

• Build the most advanced logistics marketplace platform, connecting shippers to drivers.
• Build scalable products and solutions used by millions of users.
• Participate in the product development and architectural vision of our logistics platform.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Managers, and Stakeholders to design solutions to solve real-life logistics problems encountered by our large community of users and drivers, lowering shipping costs while creating jobs and income for our drivers.
• Supervise a team, guide and mentor them, and develop their technical career progression.
• Participate in the recruitment and growth of the team.
• Ensure the quality of the team's deliverables.
• Set standards of coding, development, unit testing, and deployment for company products.
  

Must have :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in Software backend development.
• Experience with enterprise system architectures.
• Solid experience with .Net but willing to work on other backend languages such as Ruby, Golang.
• Experience with building RESTful API, and defining Micro-Services.
• Proficiency with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud services: AWS or Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience with developing and architecting scalable systems, SOA, or microservices.

Nice to have:

• Strong understanding of system performance and scaling.
• Ability to work well in a team setting.
• Experience in Golang/Ruby will be a strong advantage.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
