Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Node.JS-based back-end services for games

Collaborate with front-end engineers, game designers, and QA to implement game logic and server-side features

Build and maintain real-time multiplayer functionality and session management systems

Ensure system performance, uptime, and stability in a high-load environment

Integrate third-party APIs and support internal game engines

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and architecture discussions

Ensure data integrity and security, especially for in-game transactions and player activities

Requirements

3+ years of experience in back-end development with Node.JS

Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), asynchronous programming, and event-driven architectures

Experience working with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)

Familiarity with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and scalable microservice architecture

Solid understanding of game backend logic, session/token handling, and concurrency issues

Previous experience in the gaming industry or a strong passion for gaming

Experience working with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

Experience with real-time game frameworks (e.g., WebSocket, Socket.IO)

Familiarity with game math engines and RNG logic

Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Performance monitoring and debugging in distributed systems
