Position Objective

Academic Assistant (Music / Performing Arts) is expected to carry out the instructions of the Music Teachers/ Head of Performance Arts to provide assistance in regard to matters which relate to the musical issues/events to ensure that these support the educational needs of the school.

Responsibilities

Academic Assistant (Music / Performing Arts) is directly responsible to the Music Teachers who will perform at least two annual evaluations (each semester) of the performance in consultation with the Head of Performance Arts. The duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Maintain musical instruments Wednesday and Thursday on regular basis.

2. Help Music teachers in their teaching (set up and take away keyboards, percussions, recording…)

3. Make an inventory of band instruments list.

4. Liaise with the local Conservatory regarding information/events.

5. Liaise with local vendors requesting information.

6. Assist with the Music Teacher / Head of Performance Arts in cultural events..

7. Translate the newsletter when requested by the Vietnamese Coordinator.

8. Interpret for Vietnamese parents when requested by the Vietnamese Coordinator.

9. Perform other duties as directed by the Headmaster/General Director, Head of Performance Arts including when requested to work during term break.

10. Attend professional development workshops assigned by the School.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Music backgrounds either in qualification or experience
