Job Purpose
Lead the local technical team in nutrition, formulation, and Trial Farm operations to deliver strategic feeding programs and technical applications. Provide training and guidance to Trial farm and sales teams to ensure world-class technical service and value delivery to customers. Act as Olam Agri's technical and nutrition expert, representing the company in customer engagements and large farm consultations. Collaborate with marketing to connect local insights with global and regional technical, nutrition, and R&D teams for product development and innovation. Oversee formulation applications and manage cost of goods sold (COGS) through deep understanding of ingredient markets and customer needs. Support sales volume and margin goals within assigned territories and channels by delivering technical excellence and customer-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Master File & Formulation
• Aligning with technical leads to creating and revising formulas using Allix software.
• Manage Master File changes and ensure recipe alignment.
• Support new raw material introduction and bridge R&D, production, and marketing.
2. Product & Business Development
• Maintain deep market and competitor knowledge to identify opportunities.
• Provide market intelligence for new products and species development.
• Actively participate in product boards and innovation initiatives.
3. Nutrition Application
• Guide technical professionals in executing detailed plans to support sales.
• Maintain expertise in competitive landscape and solution offerings.
• Act as a consultant for farm management and performance improvement.
• Develop and implement strategic feeding programs aligned with product value propositions (e.g., FCR, ADG, feed cost).
4. Customer Focus & Service Deployment
• Coach commercial teams to understand customer goals and challenges.
• Lead strategic customer relationships and prioritize key accounts.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration to enhance sales performance.
• Organize and lead customer seminars and farm tours.
5. Trial farm Leadership
• Train and lead Olam farm team for seamless execution with sales collaboration.
• Design and drive Olamfarm models and offerings to build farm ambassador loyalty.
• Champion POP data collection and analysis to support product performance improvements.• Bachelor's degree in animal nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, or Food Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aqua feed industry, additives, and fish farming.
• Strong system thinking and innovation mindset.
• Market awareness and commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Collaborative problem-solving approach.
• Experience in managing multiple projects.
• Proficiency in formulation software, big data tools, and analytics.
• Fluent in Vietnamese and English.
• Knowledge of fish health, feed additives, and quality systems.
