At Playnetic, we create online slot games that engage, excite, and immerse players in unforgettable experiences. As Principal Animator, you'll be at the forefront of that magic, pushing animation quality, refining visual storytelling, and guiding our talented team to bring our games to life.

What You'll Do

• Own and drive the animation direction across our slot games, ensuring consistency and high-quality execution.
• Take on complex animation challenges, including character movements, game flow animations, and eye-catching visual effects.
• Work closely with the Animation Director to refine our animation pipeline and set clear guidelines.
• Mentor and support our 2D animators, helping them hone their skills.
• Collaborate with game designers, developers, and artists to create seamless, polished animations.
• Ensure animations are optimised for smooth gameplay performance.
• Experiment with new techniques to push the boundaries of what's possible.
  
  

What We're Looking For

✔ Expert-level Spine 2D experience. You'll need to know this inside out.

✔ A strong background in 2D animation for games, ideally with 3+ years in the slot industry.

✔ A portfolio or showreel that makes us go wow.

✔ Experience mentoring animators and guiding animation projects.

✔ A solid understanding of how animations integrate into game engines.

✔ The ability to troubleshoot and optimise animations for performance.

✔ Great collaboration skills. You'll work with developers, designers, and fellow animators.

✔ Experience with particle systems, visual effects, and procedural animations is a plus.

✔ Knowledge of 3D software is a bonus but not essential.
