New Horizon is a newly established Ed-Tech Product Company using technologies to support new-generation pedagogical practices for the education ecosystem. We have a mission that aims to support students to meet their learning goals no matter where they are through supporting and assisting the decisions teachers make about how to address their students’ learning needs. We provide access to resources, plans and practices that are informed by data collected and are associated with the greatest impact on student learning.

General Responsibilities

• You take part in the development of our EdTech platform ecosystem in a proactive & collaborative manner


• You develop and maintain our EdTech platform components based on our current tech stack


• You train yourself or receive training on technologies, languages, and frameworks that you need to be productive with our EdTech platform ecosystem


• You explore, propose, and potentially apply the latest industry standards for your deliverables


• You take part in the deployment and operation processes for our EdTech platform ecosystem


• You are vigilant yourself and challenge to help maintain or improve the vigilance of your colleagues


• You actively participate in team discussions by casting your feedback, approvals, and disapprovals in a civilized manner, and you challenge your peers to do the same

Role-specific Responsibilities

• You keep yourself constantly up-to-date with the latest Frontend trends, while at the same time, you help maintain the existing tech stack & selectively apply new technologies based on pragmatism & future readiness, not by hype


• 
  You take part in decision making processes with regards to which technologies the company should pick up for itself, or for its customers. You may not be expected to make any decision, but your participation in discussions is desired, as
  • you’re expected to bring in ideas and viewpoints from your own perspective
  
  
  • At the same time, you’re expected to learn from other colleagues about the company’s tech stack, how it has progressed through the ages, and how we want to steer it now & in the future.

• Client-side: HTML, CSS, JS, React, ReactNative
