Role Purpose

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic individual to join the British Council Vietnam team! In this role, you'll coordinate with the Teaching Centre Team to support teaching assistants and children, ensuring compliance with the British Council's EO&D, Special Needs Inclusion, and Child Protection policies

This is a non-employment position based on a service provider contract. Service Fee: VND 68,000 per hour

Role Context

The British Council has two main centres in Vietnam, in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, along with Young Learner branches. Most students are Young Learners whose parents seek international education. The Teaching Centre team covers teaching, administration, customer service, sales, management, and marketing. The main responsibility is to support primary classes with teaching assistants and ensure young learners are supervised at all times

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Support the British Council’s English strategy by collaborating with teachers, enhancing the Council’s reputation, and pursuing personal development through attending briefing sessions.

Motivate children, assist with materials and event logistics, maintain positive relationships, and support teaching centre activities.

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Vietnamese (IELTS 6.0/Upper Intermediate)
• At least one year of experience with children
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook
• Available for 20+ hours per week (weekdays and weekends)
• Committed for at least one year continuously
• Able to demonstrate British Council behaviours
• Provide a valid criminal record check after hire confirming no history of harm to children. Criminal records to be issued by Justice Department
