* Team: Bioinformatics
* Office location: District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
* Hours of work: Full time Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Occasional night-time online meetings may be required.
* Contract duration: Initially 1 year (including a 2-month probation period) with possibility of extension.
* Reporting to: Bioinformatics Team Lead

* Job Summary:
The Bioinformatics Technician is responsible for executing, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing production runs of data analysis pipelines in a cloud/Linux computing environment. The candidate will apply their skill at the Linux command line, cloud computing, and in scripting languages to create and maintain optimal execution environments for our data pipelines.

* Primary Responsibilities:
- Generate and deliver output results from established data analysis pipelines by executing these pipelines at scale in a cloud environment.
- Work with bioinformaticians to troubleshoot pipeline execution failures.
- Use knowledge of Linux and the cloud to optimize cost and runtime of pipelines.
- Troubleshoot pipeline execution issues and help improve error handling.
- Ensure data are analyzed and reports are delivered in a timely manner.
- Document all code, errors and corrective actions carefully.
- Contribute to improvement of existing or development of new bioinformatics pipelines when qualified.
