Function Purpose:
The documentation engineer is responsible for correct and complete customer documentation on a project based business. This can be a wide range of different document preparation, depending on the project volume.
On the one side it is the creation and collection of technical datasheets and product information, it also can include changes in existing manuals (e.g. operators manual, spare part catalogue). The role has interfaces to different other departments within the PG or outside the PG (e.g., centralized documentation dept.)
The role is also responsible that the complete documentation is uploaded to the database acc. to the individual department rules.
Main tasks:
• Responsible for the creation of the documentation for Boat and Davit projects
• Establish standard templates, coordinate and develop processes for a standard documentation based on PG guidelines.
• Support certification and approval engineering with keeping type approvals up to date
• Judge documentation requests during sales offering phase
• Build network of supporting documentation companies
• Support project management to deliver final customer documentation
• Assist in creating documents and documentation packages for Customer or Class.• A Technical education is the minimum educational level.
• Strong technical understanding and analytical capabilities.
• Minimum work experience in a technical field of at least 2 years.
• Basic technical documentation norms and different maritime norms and standards are an advantage.
• Basic knowledge within the marine environment is required.Thưởng
