Responsibilities

The Internal Auditor is responsible for performing audit assignments that assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies, and operational efficiency. Under the guidance of senior auditors and managers, this role involves conducting audit fieldwork, documenting findings, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality audit reports.

The Internal Auditor plays a key role in supporting the organization’s risk management and process improvement initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and exposure to various aspects of auditing and organizational operations. The key responsibilities include:

Assist in planning and executing financial, operational, and compliance audits.

Perform detailed testing and analysis of internal controls, processes, and transactions to identify potential risks and inefficiencies.

Document audit work performed in accordance with professional standards, including creating clear and organized workpapers.

Support the development of audit findings and recommendations to improve internal controls and operational processes.

Participate in entrance and exit meetings with management to communicate audit objectives and preliminary results.

Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions and recommendations from prior audits.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the audit process.

Stay current with industry regulations, internal auditing standards, and best practices.

Complete other duties and projects as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

1+ year of experience in internal audit, external audit, accounting, or a related field.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification (preferred or in progress).

Basic understanding of internal controls, auditing concepts, and financial processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple assignments.
