JOB SUMMARY

The Senior EM Supplier Engineer is the direct Supplier support contact for Vexos and its customers, working as the technical liaison with suppliers in sourcing, quality planning, supplier assessment, risk assessment, corrective and preventative actions, problem solving and overall customer satisfaction. The incumbent needs to have a strong understanding of EM manufacturing including stamping, die-casting, plastics and cable. This position will be based in Hanoi Vietnam and reports directly to the Director – EM Business.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Researching, sourcing and assessing EM supplier capabilities

• Resolution of supplier quality issues promtly and efficiently. Initiate and manage supplier corrective actions.

• Routine Supplier Quality Performance reporting. Analyze performance data to prioritize and execute improvement activities.

• Develop, execute and maintain customer specific PPAPs, Control Plans, PFMEAs, and FAI documentation.

• Visit vendor facilities and observe the manufacturing processes and environment to review and assess capabilities

• Perform supplier audits based on ISO 9001, TS16949, ISO 13485 and Customer specified requirements, as applicable.

• Assist with dispositioning any EM issues causing manufacturing problems or rejects

• Assure customers understand all related technical issues that cause suppliers to ask for permission before implementing any changes in the design for manufacturability

• Continuously develop, evaluate, and optimize EM suppliers in Southeast Asia

• Coordinate with PCB vendors for delivery of urgent orders, and regularly checking the production status with PCB suppliers to ensure on-time delivery

• Perform inspections of EM parts prior to shipment to customer to ensure quality

• Visit EM suppliers regularly, monitor suppliers' operation, production, quality control, and delivery, and conduct annual audit on suppliers to drive continuous improvement of suppliers

• Handle customer audits for the suppliers in Vietnam.
