Designer Journeys

Designer Journeys is seeking a highly motivated and talented Fullstack Engineer to join our fast-growing travel tech start-up. You will have the opportunity to work with a driven and competent team towards our grand vision of disrupting the travel product supply chain by consistently and rapidly taking small steps at a time.

Responsibilities

• Work with the product & technology team to ideate software solutions and create proof of concept.
• Design, develop, and migrate/maintain backend services using NodeJS and PHP.
• Develop and maintain frontend services using VueJS and NuxtJS.
• Write unit and integration tests for your code.
• Test your code before shipping.
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness of our platform during peak traffic.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to traffic bottlenecks and system performance.
• Implement and advocate for best practices in code quality, testing, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to keep our platform competitive.

• You are proficient in backend development.
• You are confident in creating proof of concept, including frontend and backend development.
• You have a strong knowledge of managing and optimising MySQL and Redis databases.
• You are confident in handling legacy systems and are determined to adopt best practices and suggest possible migrations to keep our platform competitive.
• You possess a strong product mindset.
• You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with handling and optimising high-traffic applications is a huge plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are the pluses.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS is a plus.

• 14 days annual leave in a year: 12 annual days leave + 1 day in the month of birthday + 1 day on Christmas.
