* Job Summary
- The Assistant Bar Manager at WoCAL supports the Bar Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional service that aligns with our eco-luxury standards and philosophy of "slow life with locals." This role involves assisting in managing the bar team, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and delivering outstanding customer service. * Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Bar Operations Management
- Assist the Bar Manager in daily bar operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Oversee bar operations during the Bar Manager's absence.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and meets all hygiene and safety standards.
- Implement and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the bar.
+ Staff Supervision
- Assist in training and supervising bartenders and bar staff.
- Help prepare staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during operational hours.
- Motivate and encourage the team to provide excellent customer service.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
+ Customer Service Excellence
- Provide prompt, friendly, and personalized service to guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating to the Bar Manager when necessary.
- Promote the resort's philosophy of slow living and eco-luxury in all guest interactions.
- Organize and assist with bar events or promotions to enhance guest experiences.
+ Beverage Service and Menu Development
- Prepare and serve beverages according to resort standards, ensuring proper presentation and garnishing.
- Assist in developing new drink recipes and updating the beverage menu.
- Stay informed about local and international beverage trends to enhance offerings.
+ Inventory and Stock Management
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of beverages and supplies.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to the Bar Manager.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of stock to minimize waste.
- Assist in ordering supplies and coordinating with suppliers.
+ Compliance and Standards
- Adhere to all local liquor laws and licensing regulations.
- Ensure staff comply with responsible alcohol service policies.
- Follow and enforce the resort's policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Implement and maintain health and safety regulations within the bar area.
+ Financial Management Support
- Assist in monitoring bar revenue and controlling expenses to meet financial targets.
- Support strategies to increase sales, such as upselling and special promotions.
- Ensure accurate billing and adherence to cash handling procedures.
+ Sustainability Initiatives
- Promote eco-friendly practices within bar operations, such as reducing plastic use and waste.
- Encourage the use of local and sustainable ingredients.
- Educate staff and guests about the resort's sustainability efforts.

- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

* Education and Formal Training
- Education

+ Training in responsible alcohol service is beneficial.
+ Additional certifications in hospitality or management are a plus.
* Experience
- Work Experience
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender or bar staff in the hospitality industry.
+ Previous experience in a supervisory role is an advantage.
- Hospitality Experience
+ Experience in luxury resorts, boutique hotels, or high-end restaurants is desirable.
+ Familiarity with eco-luxury or sustainable hospitality environments is a plus.
