II. JOB PURPOSE
Responsibility for supervising the testing and evaluation of incoming materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
III. MAIN DUTIES
1. Leadership and Team Management
- Provide leadership and direction to the quality control laboratory team responsible for testing raw materials.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure effective communication within the team.
2. Quality Control Processes for Raw Materials
- Oversee the development, implementation, and improvement of quality control processes and procedures specifically tailored for raw materials.
- Ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements
3. Testing Coordination for Raw Materials
- Coordinate and schedule testing activities for incoming raw materials.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to establish efficient testing workflows.
- Monitor and optimize the testing process to ensure timely and accurate results.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting for Raw Materials
- Analyze test results and data related to raw materials to assess quality and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing quality control findings for raw materials.
- Communicate results analysis, including procurement and production teams
5. Continuous Improvement for Raw Materials
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the testing processes for raw materials.
- Implement improvements and efficiencies in raw material testing procedures and workflows.
6. Training and Development for Raw Materials Testing
- Provide training to laboratory staff focused on testing methods specific to raw materials.
- Support the professional development of team members with an emphasis on raw material expertise
7. Equipment Management for Raw Materials Testing
- Oversee the proper calibration, maintenance, and operation of laboratory equipment used in raw material testing.
- Coordinate equipment troubleshooting and repair activities
8. Documentation Oversight for Raw Materials
- Review standard operating procedures (SOP) and documentation related to raw material testing.
- Ensure accurate and detailed records of all tests performed on raw materials are maintained
9. Safety and Compliance for Raw Materials
- Ensure laboratory practices related to raw material testing comply with safety regulations.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for raw material testing
10. Risk Assessment for Raw Materials
- Conduct risk assessments related to raw materials and develop strategies to mitigate quality risks.
- Implement measures to ensure the consistency and reliability of incoming raw materials
11. Problem Resolution for Raw Materials
- Investigate deviations from quality standards related to raw materials.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for any quality issues identified.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve quality concerns
IV. Work Relationship
1. Internal
-Laboratory Staff Lab QC
+ Work closely with laboratory technicians, analysts, and other personnel to ensure the proper execution of testing procedures.
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the laboratory team-
-Quality Assurance Team
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that quality control processes align with established standards and regulations. Address and resolve quality-related issues in coordination with the quality assurance team
- Production Team
Coordinate with the production team to ensure raw material monitoring. Collaborate on the resolution of quality issues that may impact production
- Technical Department Team
Collaborate with the Technical team to implement new methods and development, material, and packaging material, Provide input on the quality aspects of new development.
2. External: Support Supplier Qualification and Audits
- Support manager QC for collaborating with the procurement team to qualify and audit suppliers.
- Ensure that suppliers meet quality standards and adhere to relevant regulations.
