Job Title: Revenue & Inventory Specialist
Location: Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
Reports To: Head of Sales and Reservations

You would join our dynamic and energetic team based at our head office in Saigon, Vietnam.
Job Overview The Revenue & Inventory Specialist will be responsible for optimizing revenue performance by managing pricing strategies, inventory control, and booking allocations, as well as managing revenue collection and financial reporting related to cruise bookings. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and strategic thinking to maximize occupancy, profitability, and ensure timely payments across Pandaw’s cruise itineraries. The role offers a high degree of autonomy in decision-making regarding pricing, promotions, and inventory allocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Management: Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies based on demand, seasonality, competitor analysis, and historical booking trends.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and manage cruise inventory, ensuring optimal cabin allocation and balancing availability across sales channels.
- Yield Management: Analyze booking patterns, adjust pricing and promotions accordingly, and recommend strategies to maximize revenue and profitability through effective yield management techniques.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate revenue forecasts, detailed sales performance reports including key financial metrics, and market analysis to support business decisions with your line manager.
- Credit Control & Accounts Management: Manage customer invoicing and payment processing.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Resolve billing issues and ensure timely payment for bookings.
- Minimize bad debt and maximize cash flow.
- Collaboration with Sales & Marketing: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop promotions, campaigns, and incentives that drive bookings.
- System Management: Ensure the effective use of booking systems and revenue management tools, maintaining data integrity and operational efficiency. The specialist must be proficient in industry-standard RMS, booking platforms, and data analysis tools.
- Reservation Oversight: Coordinate with reservations and customer service teams to manage booking modifications, cancellations, and overbooked scenarios.
- Competitor & Market Analysis: Continuously research market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and emerging travel industry developments.
- Pricing & Content Updates: Regularly update pricing structures and promotional content across all platforms to reflect current strategies and offerings.
Team Structure & Reporting The Revenue & Inventory Specialist will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Reservations teams and report directly to the Head of Sales and Reservations. This position requires collaboration with finance and operations to align pricing and profitability goals.
Geographic Focus This role will focus on optimizing revenue for Pandaw’s cruise operations in key regions, including the Mekong River (Vietnam & Cambodia), the Ganges River (India), the Mekong tributaries in Laos, and other emerging destinations in Asia.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in revenue management, inventory control, or reservations management within the travel, cruise, or hospitality industry is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, pricing, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in revenue management systems (RMS), booking platforms, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Knowledge of the river cruise or luxury travel industry is a plus.
- Experience with tour operator accounting or travel agency billing is a plus.
