Technical operations is part of Service Organization. We are placed across the world supporting the Service and Construction organizations on technical support and acting as the link between VPS and local business units

Responsibilities

• Remote first-time fix rate improved
• Detailed technical recommendation provided to next role in process
• Recommendations documented in Salesforce and follow up with VGA improvements
• Knowledge shared within team, relevant roles in the process and across the global Ops Community
• On-site trouble shooting work orders, trends and developments actively analyzed and solutions provided
• Regional anchor point for remote trouble shooting
• Review Breakdown YS Work Orders backlog from L1 and assess need for further actions
• Prioritize Work Orders
• Assess if additional remote troubleshooting activities can be performed (analysis and solution finding)
• If taken, document remote troubleshooting actions in Work Order
• Carry out technical planning (task list) and entitlement check in WO in Salesforce
• Provide recommendations to support trouble shooting (L1 Operations/VGA guides)
• Regular analysis of top on-site trouble shooting of work orders to identify the root cause and document action plans
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Forum focusing on asset faults, actions and solutions, improve remote first-time fix rate
• Provide 1st level technical support to Service and Construction
• Ensure thorough technical/statistical WTG stop analysis support incl. recommended spare parts for error remedy
• Provide support to service operation on resolution of turbine alarms / alerts
• On request from Sales provide technical input to support sales of WTGs and Service products.
• Provide translation support of technical matters on a need basis.
• Liaise with other technical staff throughout the company (worldwide) as part of solving technical issues
• Provide trouble-shooting support to field technicians
• Actively convert knowledge into business value
• Analyze poor performing wind turbines / wind farms and provide solutions
• When needed identify spare parts and documentation
• Push troubleshooting knowledge to the field by documenting knows solutions in Vestas Global Advisor (VGA)
• Ensure correct SW and parameter settings for windfarms
• Remote Software upload
  
  

Qualifications

• Qualifications Required 8-10 years working experience in trouble shooting / technical support in Wind turbines preferably in Vestas
• Experience in GE/ Sulzon/Senvion/ Gamesa would be an advantageous
  
  

Competencies

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting technical skills with emphasis on root cause analysis
• Able to multitask and prioritize daily work under a fast paced environment
• Ability to priorities tasks in accordance with business objectives.
• Ability to develop networks internationally to develop own knowledge base and solve technical issues
