Describe a school that you went to when you were a child. You should say:
and explain whether you enjoyed your time there.
It was the only school in town back then so it was named accordingly. My hometown is kinda like a small valley, and the school was built in the center while my house was on the hillside. It was a long journey to school every day but some of houses were along the way so I had some company for most parts. my friends.
I was a pupil there between the ages of 6 and 10 before my whole family moved to Hanoi to live with our grandparents. I heard that after we moved away for a few years, the original school was demolished and relocated to a new area across the town. Everything is now brand new, and I almost didn’t recognize it when I got back to the town for the first time 2 years ago. The people back then were all that I could re member about this place. It was such a fun time going to school every day.
I and my buddies were all very naughty so we always had something to play around with each other or with other people, which got us into pretty much trouble. But our teach er rarely punished us for any of those, she was very kind and gentle with us. She taught Arts and always had some interesting stories to tell the students during the les sons, which inspired me a lot to choose Arts as my major in university later on.
The school was my first time for everything: my first achievements and prizes, my first time standing on stage and my first friends. And as I’ve just said, it is more about the people than the actual place. We have had some really good memories together, leaving our footprints at every corner of the town. I don’t think I could ever forget such an amazing time. All of them are like my second family, we still keep in contact and hang out with each other occasionally to talk about the good old days.

To the best of my recollection, my school was located right in the middle of my hometown, and was within walking distance from my house. That’s why it only took me about 10 minutes to walk to school every single day. I don’t remember exactly but this school was built when I was in fourth or fifth grade. Back in the days when I was still studying at primary school, this school had always been my dream school because it looked incredibly beautiful. All the walls were painted in multiple bright colors, which really made it stand out from the surrounding buildings. I guess the main purpose of doing this was to create a sense of enjoyment for students to go to school every day.Today, I’m going to tell you about my secondary school, which was the place I spent nearly four years during my childhood.
Looking at the school from the outside, we could see a very big white gate at the front with the school’s name above it. Near this gate, there was a parking area where students and teachers left their vehicles before entering the building. There was a library, a computer lab, a canteen and two big playgrounds full of flowering plants. The school building itself was enormous so it could easily be seen from quite a distance.
Inside, the first thing I noticed about this place was that it was well-equipped with a range of modern facilities, including an air conditioning system and a number of tables made of high-quality wood.
For me, secondary school was a place full of beautiful childhood memories. I will definitely pay a visit to it when I have a chance to go back to my hometown.

Childhood is one of the most exquisite and invaluable experiences of one’s life and school days are definitely the cherry on top. My school days were one of the most exhilarating and relishing days of my life where I enjoyed thoroughly along with laying a foundation for the person who I am today and, to a greater extent, who I would be in the future as well. I did my schooling at Westwood Senior Secondary School, Slovenia and I remember every bit of it.
My school was extremely beautiful and the campus was so entrancing that everyone who used to behold it fell in love with its magnificence. Apart from that, I don’t have enough time to talk about my school days as there are hordes of stories and incidents I have to reminisce about. Students were from a motley of cultures and traditions and the way we used to respect each other’s traditions and were all so unified is something I really miss after growing up. That innocence and naivety is very rare to find now.
I learned a multitude of things there, encompassing various streams of studies and art. It was there where I realized my passion for calligraphy and my teachers were all so seasoned and dexterous in their concerned field of studies that there was almost nothing they didn’t know about regarding their subject. My teachers gave me the best tutelage ever possible and most of my fellow students are still my friends.
I truly feel obliged and lifelong grateful to my school and really nostalgic talking about it now. I believe a part of me would always stay back in the days when I used to go to my school and would always stay in its charm.
I went to quite a few schools when I was a kid as my parents moved around the country a lot because of their work. One that particularly sticks out in my mind is my primary school.
It was in the north of England in a small little town. Most of the buildings there were at least a hundred years old and the town itself hadn’t really changed that much over the years.
This primary school was in a very old building that was originally a mansion. The building was repurposed several decades before I started attending, and in many ways, it looked like a more inviting building compared to some newer schools.
I remember I wasn’t very fond of it at first. It rained a lot and the playground was prone to flooding. On my first day, I stepped in one of the puddles and spent the rest of the day with wet feet. I think this shaped my view of the school because first impressions really do count.
I learned a lot there though. The teachers were very friendly and welcoming and were eager to teach in an energetic and enthusiastic way. They had to follow the standard national curriculum but when possible they’d add in something extra to help us learn the material better.
The school had a really excellent reputation in the area, and I believe this is why my parents chose this school. I attended it for a few years until it was time to move once again.
