Your responsibilities:
- As an IT Operations Team Lead, you are responsible for the infrastructure and the operations ("run") of a large, mission-critical application, operated in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) mode.
- Work with European experts to develop IT projects, and improvements to strengthen infrastructure, system services, and operation procedures.
- Manage functionally a team of DevOps engineers who are responsible for the build and the deployment of one or several application modules. You animate the team, explain the global strategy and directions, and coach, help, control, spread the DevOps mindset, continuously improve the processes and way of working, and ensure that each team member implements and rolls out the strategic decisions in their application(s).
- Manage work plans for IT Operation, and IT Engineering teams; assign work activities, projects, and programs; supervise, review, and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures.
- Communicate on and report operation and project statuses. Follow-up on issues and actions to be taken.
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
- Beyond operations, you work with application development and service management teams to ensure customer success during production.
- Whenever necessary, research new or emerging technologies and solutions, give recommendations, build proofs of concept, and conduct training. You manage projects to modernize the system's overall infrastructure.
