Technical Design & Architecture
Analyze business requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions within the Odoo framework.
Define technical architecture, select components, and design system workflows that are modular and maintainable.
Translate functional specifications into detailed system design, database schemas, and technical documentation.
Custom Module Development
Develop custom Odoo modules using Python, XML, and JavaScript to extend standard functionalities.
Customize core Odoo objects (models, views, workflows, reports) to support client-specific business logic.
Follow Odoo's ORM patterns and coding standards for module compatibility and upgrade safety.
API Development & Third-Party Integration
Design and develop RESTful APIs to enable real-time integration with third-party platforms (e.g., eCommerce, CRM, payment gateways, logistics, mobile apps).
Implement authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, API keys) and handle data serialization in JSON or XML.
Create webhooks and scheduled services to enable event-driven or batch-based data exchange.
Workflow Automation & Data Synchronization
Implement automated workflows using Odoo's automation tools (server actions, scheduled jobs, computed fields).
Build ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data across multiple systems or databases.
Maintain data consistency and ensure accurate synchronization between Odoo and external applications..
Debugging, Testing & Code Quality
Write unit tests and perform functional testing to validate code behavior.
Use Odoo logging and debugging tools to identify root causes of bugs and performance bottlenecks.
Review and refactor code submitted by peers to ensure clean architecture and high maintainability.
AI Integration & Innovation (Optional)
Integrate AI services into Odoo workflows - such as chatbots, document OCR, intelligent tagging, and smart search functionalities.
Implement natural language processing (NLP) to enhance customer interactions or internal process automation (e.g., interpreting user queries or extracting entities from documents)
Apply machine learning algorithms to detect anomalies in sales data, financial entries, inventory fluctuations, or user behavior
Collaboration & Agile Development
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives following Agile methodologies.
Work closely with functional consultants, QA engineers, DevOps, and clients to ensure on-time delivery of quality solutions.
Maintain detailed technical documentation and version-controlled code repositories.
Mentorship & Team Contribution
Support and mentor junior developers.
Contribute to internal best practices, reusable libraries, and deployment processesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
4+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, ideally with 2+ years working on ERP systems (Odoo preferred)Full participation in Social Insurance, Health Insurance, and Unemployment Insurance in compliance with labor regulations
