Senior Quality Engineer
Hanoi, Vietnam
Working on-site and directly with CM/ ODM and suppliers to satisfy Honeywell's quality standards and strategy, and replenishment initiatives in the manufacture of components. You will interact with all levels of the Honeywell Organization. As Honeywell's point of contact within the supply base, you will travel within your assigned geographical area, in support of a variety of supplier oversight functions.

Senior Quality Engineer

Working on-site and directly with CM/ ODM and suppliers to satisfy Honeywell's quality standards and strategy, and replenishment initiatives in the manufacture of components. You will interact with all levels of the Honeywell Organization. As Honeywell's point of contact within the supply base, you will travel within your assigned geographical area, in support of a variety of supplier oversight functions.
Key Responsibilities
- This role will require to evaluate CM/ ODM and supplier procedures for compliance to contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Require to support all quality related activities for CM/ ODM and suppliers that assigned to, including field complaint, production issue and quality continuous improvement, value/ cost engineering, NPI/ NPE, etc.
- Responsible to support quality improvement for field reported warehouse shipping error.
- Enhance CM/ ODM and supplier’s quality culture through coaching and technical engagement to minimize quality issue impact to delivery commitment to customer.
- Willing to travel between suppliers (3 locations)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or other relevant discipline)
- Min 3 years’ experience in manufacturing Quality related function
- Self-motivated and able to get results with minimal supervision and oversight.
- Hands-on experience with quality assurance processes.
- Experience leading teams focused on problem solving and driving supplier improvements using Six Sigma tools.
- Good negotiation skills and experience in developing win-win relationships with CM/ ODM and supplier.
- High level of interpersonal skills is required to handle difficult situations as well as to diffuse interpersonal conflict effectively.
- Strong understanding of Quality engineering practices.
- Drive Quality target.
- Drive factory and processes audit
- Support PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), FAI (First Article Inspection) review and buyoff.
- Honeywell Source Inspection quality inspection
- Promote use of 8D approach and utilize quality tools for issue resolution.
- Trained in Six Sigma / Lean techniques.
