The mobile team empowers Zalora e-commerce business by crafting the best Android app experience for our users. As a member of the mobile team, you will work on building features to provide a fun and seamless shopping experience for the millions of people who shop at ZALORA. You will work closely with cross-functional squads and crafting sophisticated apps with the Android SDK.

Our app is currently written in a mix of Kotlin and Java, with all new code written in Kotlin. We're in the process of moving towards an architecture which will enable us to increase the testability of our code and help us maintain the excellent stability that our app enjoys.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Product and UX Research team to develop features for the Android platform
• Build high performance, well-structured native app with modern Android best-practices in mind.
• Ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of the app.
  
  

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Kotlin, Android Jetpack, Coroutine or RxJava
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
• Experience with offline storage, concurrency, threading and performance tuning
• Knack for benchmarking and optimisation
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures (MVVM or Clean architecture), trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle and design patterns
• Bonus point if you have experience working with CI/CD, automation tools or functional programming.
