In recent years, the scarcity of land used to build houses is the major obstacle people are facing. Many experts suppose that only the government can take action to solve it effectively. Personally, I strongly agree with the given statement as only with the regime can the city be planned in a better way and have sufficient accommodation for residents.
To commence, the foremost reason supporting the above idea is that the state solely has the authority to plan and manage the city and its infrastructure. One of the most optimal solutions is that the government should replace single-story houses with multi-story residences. For instance, by constructing vertical complexes instead of detached houses, the Singaporean government can solve the issue of the unavailability of houses. Besides, the state can also enact laws to avoid house overbuying as the Canadian government increased the prices of apartments with a view to restricting foreign purchases.
Additionally, the government is the only factor that can discourage people from migrating to urban cities. The residents from non-urban areas tend to move to big cities in search of better opportunities related to education, medical, and employment which causes inadequacy of residential houses. To avoid the above phenomenon, the government should levy less tax on companies in the countryside to encourage them to establish their offices in the rural areas so fewer people would migrate to cities. As a result, it would solve the issue of congested spaces, especially in the center of the city.
In conclusion, it is evident that only the state can take proper steps to solve the problem regarding the shortage of housing in urban spaces by decreasing the tax in the countryside and encouraging people to live in a flat but not a house.

It is hard to deny that luck of housing quite widespread problem nowadays. Furthermore , housing scarcity can be a source of all subsequent issues for community. Some people reckon that only authorities can find a solution. From my point of view , it is quite a logical statement,and I definitely support it.
Considering steps that should be taken by governments,there are several ways to work it out. Firstly, authorities should encourage people to move countryside. And in order to do it effectively, they should use various methods to involve people. And one of this method is running a campaign in social media ,where will be discussed all benefits of living in a village. Additionally, authorities have to pay attention to ways to get to the city from village ,as a lot of citizens won’t lose their jobs because of the moving countryside. So that’s why it is important to make it convenient and inexpensive.
Returning again to job question, governments of the country should provide more vacancy suggestions in the rural areas as, more than 90 percentage of people moved to metropolis just for getting a well-paid job. If job opportunities increased,people would be more willing to move countryside. It would be nice to mention latest poll conducted by authorities of the Maharashtra province demonstrated that near 35 percentage of youths don’t wanna live in a large city,but forced to do that, due to luck of job suggestions.
However ,it should be mentioned, that citizens and builders also play an important role in solving this problem. They could help authorities by doing at least something like invest more in building skyscrapers and flats. Apartment usually require less space on the land, whereas, bungalows require it more.
To conclude, notwithstanding the fact,that luck of housing is become more common issue among population,it can be solved by a few smart decision. In general only governments can influence on it effectively, but of course with citizens support.
Today is known as the era of centralisation. From this aspect, the questions about whether only government action can address severe consequences caused by the lack of housing in big cities are raised. In my opinion, the government action can solve this issue to some extent.
Irrefutably, citizens can have a chance to dwell in public houses. This is because, unlike rural areas, governments can pour massive sums into public houses and allocate these houses for poverty citizens who live in big cities. This obviously leads to an increase in accommodations in big cities and this in turn encourages them to reside in a better quality of life.
What is more, although a plethora of costs cannot be ignored, the authorities can implement housing policies. To exemplify, the authority enacts strict laws related to moving organisations and installs a majority of necessary buildings such as apartments, hospitals, and schools in rural areas. This, therefore, results in the promotion of huge migration from big cities to rural areas.
Nevertheless, the authorities are hardly likely to shift citizen's preference for living in cities. In other words, since citizens already receive various benefits including job opportunities, high-paid jobs, high-quality education, and cultural events so, more citizens are likely to continue to migrate to cities in the future.
To recapitulate, the authorities are hardly likely to shift citizen's preference for living in cities but citizens can have a chance to dwell in public houses and the authorities can implement housing policies. Thus, the government action can solve the severe consequences caused by the lack of housing in big cities.
Undoubtedly, the shortage of housing in metropolitan areas is a major social issue and has a serious impact on their citizens. Some advocates mentioned that only the government can take the appropriate actions to resolve this vital problem. The regulator can formulate the long-term resolution of the housing problem and commercial companies or non-profit organizations can work with government bodies to manipulate the short-term rules to help those people suffering from a shortage of housing.
To begin with, it is clear that not sufficient land to build the housing estate is one of the key factors in the shortage of housing. As government bodies are the land owners in its territory, they have the right to make the new lands. For example, new lands in Hong Kong can be made by reclamation. New houses can be built in the new district. If so, people can relocate from the old zone to the new district and the old building can be rebuilt into a new modern building. Land-making is the government's responsibility.
On the other hand, some non-government bodies are managing different buildings and homes. They can request to change the purpose to allow people to live here. For example, as factories in Hong Kong are moved to mainland China, some empty industrial buildings can be changed for residential purposes. Those changes can help people to live in suitable homes which can improve their living standards.
To sum up, the government not only resolves the shortage of housing by land-making but also business companies and charity organizations can facilitate the resolution of this housing problem by using different kinds of buildings in efficient ways.
Nowadays, buying a house has been getting unaffordable in developed cities. Some believe that only government could make adjustments to the housing supply, and I strongly agree with this opinion and will explore it in the following paragraphs.
Firstly, the critical reason for the overwhelming housing market is that both federal and provincial authorities have established policies to boost the economy in big cities. Consequently, those policies created abundant working opportunities in those areas, which promote young adults immigrating from their hometowns. For instance, the head offices of most companies are located in Toronto, which causes many university graduates to flush into Toronto for better pay and to settle down there.
Secondly, the provincial government could build some more condos and townhouses instead of detached houses. Although living in a condo or townhouse does not have enough space as living in a detached house, it is an ideal method to satisfy the increasing demands of new houses. By doing so, it is also avoidable that lots of parks and farmlands would be turned into buildings. For example, in downtown Toronto, many old houses have been replaced by skyscrapers, which has been increasing the living capacity of this city and saving green belts for relaxation.
Admittedly, there are some other ways to help remit the housing shortage too, such as working at home and getting a job in small towns. But by the above measures, the housing problems can not be solved permanently.
In conclusion, big companies also can help resolve housing problems through online work, but I believe that only the government can regulate the housing market by making different policies, like new job creation and approval of condo building plans.
It is argued that the lack of accommodations in metropolitans can result in serious impacts and in order to tackle those problems, government action is the only choice. In my opinion, I totally agree with the statement for the following reasons.
To start with, many people suppose that individuals can offer aid by creating and setting up their own houses which are fully attached with amenities. However, I believe this is a short-sighted view. To make this clear, a person can afford the money to purchase or even construct a shelter to live in but they can not guarantee the quality of the materials for the structures. For instance, in 2019, a family consisting of 5 members in a small village of Hokkaido - Japan managed to create a house made of bricks and woods on their own. Even though it was well-designed with plenty of decorations and furniture, eventually the house collapsed and took away the lives of the whole family. Due to their deaths, the police found out that the system of their house was not strong enough to handle and resulting in a tragedy. Thus, there is a high risky chance to deal with this problem alone.
On the other hand, I strongly believe that the solutions to this issue could be undertaken by the government. The authorities always prior the safety of citizens first so they often provide the basic facilities for them. To address this, many high-rise blocks, skyscrapers,...etc which solve people’s housing have been completed. One of the best examples of this would be in the USA, the government has witnessed the booming population and responded to the inhabitants by devising plans to make buildings that could house people. Additionally, those buildings can ease the traffic for the commuters and facilitate the community’s lives but also the most important thing is that still remains the quality of the structures. Besides, by resolving all the housing issues, more and more people will definitely move in from the urban areas to seek opportunities. Therefore, it is likely to be beneficial for the dwellers through the action of the government.
In conclusion, after the aforementioned reasons, it is no doubt that the government can ensure the quality of people’s housing and surely can enhance it.
