About Transfer Connect

TransferConnect is our platform to convert loyalty points to airline miles and hotel points. We work with most of the premium hotel and airline programs around the world to enable these transfers. Hundreds of companies, from the world's largest banks to the most ambitious fintechs, use TransferConnect to process and handle customer points each and fulfillments; making it a core part of our business and significant revenue driver. About The Role

We're looking for someone who's excited to jump in and get your hands dirty with our team members to help us deliver the largest most scalable set of transfer APIs for our clients globally. We'll build the next generation of loyalty currency services such as cashback & carbon credits together. Your work will enable new types of businesses to run on our platform, at greater scale, while maintaining an extremely high bar for reliability, usability and operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Contribute to building and enhancing Ascenda’s products and services, helping scale them to support our growing client base.
• Deliver high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code across backend systems.
• Participate in the design and development of APIs and backend services with guidance from senior engineers.
• Take ownership of well-scoped problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g. Project, Product, Partnerships) to understand requirements and build robust solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and ongoing improvement of engineering best practices.
• Learn and grow in both domain knowledge and technical breadth, with mentorship and support from more experienced teammates.
• Contribute to client integrations and support technical implementations as part of a delivery squad.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Solid technical foundation and experience in building backend systems, ideally with some exposure to distributed systems, cloud environments, and database design.
• Familiarity with Ruby (or strong interest to learn), and sound understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an eagerness to work closely with engineers and non-engineers alike.
• 2–5 years of relevant software development experience.
• A growth mindset and eagerness to take on new challenges.
• Desire to contribute to a strong engineering culture, and an interest in mentoring peers as you grow.
