Internship window: May - July 2026 (minimum). If your university/ school is looking at 6 - 9 month long traineeships, we're open to it too. Please state so in your application to us.

In This Internship, You Will Be

• Working in our Data Team in Ascenda. As an internship, you will get the opportunity to develop your skills across Data Platform and Data Products teams, as a Data Engineer and Analytics Engineer.
• Delivering products to customers in a matter of weeks after you join! We believe in giving everyone ownership, including our interns. You will start by owning small pieces of the platform and working your way up.
• Working within our Data Products team who looks at building Analytics and Reporting products for Ascenda across key data domains (e.g. core loyalty programs, travel bookings, points transfers) to help empower customers and internal stakeholders to make informed decisions and drive business outcomes globally.
• As we grow our users and transaction volumes to reach new markets, our data architecture needs to grow too. You’ll help us to make Ascenda's data platform faster, more convenient and scalable.
• Learning about other aspects of the modern data stack, such as, data orchestration, data warehousing & ELT, observability, BI and data science.
• Security & Compliance - how do we secure our data platform for financial institutions
• Scalability - learn how to adapt your code in a way that scales
  
  

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate and excited about using technology to build great products!
• Good understanding of databases and SQL.
• Have some experience in at least one programming language for data processing (Python preferred, but not obligatory)
• A team player, willing to help other developers, share knowledge and care about the product you build
• Possess good communication skills, are not afraid of suggesting changes and improvements
• A fast learner, able and willing to learn new languages and libraries
• Able to commit a minimum duration of 3 months full time, with possibility of extension to part-time basis thereafter
• Based in HCM City, Vietnam
