Role Overview:
The Taproom Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of taproom operations, including staff management, customer service, and facility maintenance. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Taproom Director plays a key role in leading the Regional Managers ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the taproom while delivering exceptional experiences to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to Regional Managers and their teams, coaching and mentoring them to achieve operational and sales targets.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to optimise efficiency and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the maintenance of taproom facilities, equipment, and furnishings, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetics.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, morale, and professional development among staff.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Director and Marketing Department to plan and execute promotional events, and special offers to drive foot traffic and sales.
- Review financial reports, sales data, and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, while developing action proactive plans to achieve revenue targets and cost efficiencies.
- Maintain detailed reporting on all taproom operations and communicate regularly with the Commercial Director.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities, and propose innovative ideas and initiatives to maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent the company at community events, industry conferences, and networking functions, promoting brand awareness and building relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in hospitality, sales or retail management, with a track record of success in driving sales, managing teams, and delivering exceptional customer service.
A degree in hospitality management and/or business administration is desirable but not necessary. Candidates without a degree are encouraged to apply if they possess the necessary experience and expertise.
Strong leadership and communication, sales skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve performance goals and deliver memorable guest experiences.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day operations and addressing operational challenges.
Proficiency in computer software applications, including POS systems, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of beer and beverage products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements is desirable.
Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
Confident command of spoken and written English.
Salary based on experience and expertise.
