Job Description

What will you work on?

Carry out full product development activities and provide engineering support at vendors for engineering builds and debug to meet the product specifications, cost and schedule.

How will you create impact?

Support and grow our RC/Robotics/Boys/Activities/Games/Girls Preschool business.
To work with vendors and Headquarter on the product design to hit the target cost.
Handle the consigned material and special components sourcing and cost negotiation.
Assist sourcing, MOQ and cost negotiation on new material.
Provide technical support and debug as needed.
Provide support to the internal group on any production output issues and material authorization review.
Monitor the schedule and on-site support from development start to OBS.
Provide manufacturing support as needed after Production Start.
Perform ad hoc assignments as requested.

What are your skills and experience?

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical /Electrical Engineering or related discipline;
At least 6-8 years’ experience in the toy industry or consumer electronics products and handled project independently for at least 5 years;
Multi-national company experience is a must;
Has knowledge in toy industry standards for different age group;
Able to review 3D models and provide design input thru DFMEA/DFM/DFA;
Understand injection molding tool construction and molding parameters;
Able to troubleshoot injection molding defects and provide corrective actions;
Understand surface decoration like spray painting, tampo printing, heat transfer;
Understand assembly process like ultrasonic welding, gluing, heat staking;
Possesses strong troubleshooting skill and familiar with Fishbone Diagram, 5 WHY analysis, Defect Mapping, DOE analysis;
Ability to provide risk assessment and mitigation plan;
Very hands on and data driven;
Strong project management skill and communication skill;
Able to conduct and chair meeting thru Zoom or video conference;
Able to transform vision into clear strategy, goal and objectives;
Familiar with licensed product process and approval;
Able to work from concept drawing through development until production;
Possesses superior problem-solving skills, and independent decision-making abilities, all while operating in an extremely demanding, fast-paced team setting;
Has knowledge in the toys industry standards for different countries;
Communications skills in English is a must and Mandarin/Cantonese is an added advantage.

Lịch sử thành lập

Vietnamworks được bắt đầu 12 năm trước bởi Jonas Levey (năm 2002). Ngay trước khi đến với Việt Nam, Jonah đã có một công ty về nhân sự thành công của riêng mình tại New York. Nhưng mọi chuyện chỉ bắt đầu sau ngày 9/11 khi Levey vừa chia tay với bạn gái. Ông tới Việt Nam để nghỉ ngơi, tĩnh dưỡng và ngay lập tức bị cuốn hút bởi những cơ hội rộng mở và nền văn hóa ở đất nước mới lạ này. Việt Nam là nước đang phát triển và chứa đựng cơ hội phát triển rộng mở. Levey đã nhận ra một vấn đề rõ ràng tại Việt Nam: nhân tài thì khan hiếm và số lượng doanh nghiệp mới ra đời vẫn tăng trưởng rất đều đặn. Điều này chỉ ra rằng Việt Nam đang thiếu một cầu nối giữa nhân lực và doanh nghiệp. 6 tháng sau, Levey cho ra mắt trang web Vietnamworks. Với những kinh nghiệm trong lĩnh vực nhân lực và tuyển dụng đã có được ở Mỹ, Levey hi vọng sẽ mang đến Việt Nam một làn gió mới.

Mission

Từ những ngày đầu, Vietnamworks chỉ là một trong 11 sản phẩm mà cả đội ngũ đang thực hiện. Và Harvey đã quyết định cắt giảm những 9 trong số 11 sản phẩm nhóm đang thực hiện. Hầu hết trong số đó đã bị đóng cửa, và chỉ có một số sản phẩm được giữ lại và chia nhỏ ra, ví dự như một sản phẩm HR được bán cho HR2B, dịch vụ quản lý bảng lương, dịch vụ quản lý nhân sự, và Anphabe – LinkedIn phiên bản Việt dành cho chuyên gia. Harvey cho rằng chính sự tập trung này đã đưa Vietnamwork đến với thành công.
