Job Description

1. Data Strategy & Business Insights

• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational effectiveness across e-commerce verticals.
• Gather and prepare data from multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency for analysis.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, identify business-critical trends, and detect anomalies using statistical models.
• Translate analytical outcomes into practical recommendations that support strategic decisions across business functions.
• Deliver insights that inform key stakeholders and promote data-informed actions aimed at driving growth.

2, Dashboarding & Reporting

• Design and maintain intuitive dashboards and performance reports using leading BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Tailor data reports to suit the needs of different internal departments.
• Use data storytelling techniques to present findings in an accessible and impactful format.
• Implement automation for recurring data tasks and dashboards to increase operational efficiency and consistency.

3, Stakeholder Engagement & Data Operations

• Partner with business teams to understand analytical requirements and transform them into effective data models and insights.
• Provide actionable intelligence to empower departments to make decisions based on verified data.
• Ensure reporting processes adhere to internal compliance standards and industry regulations.
• Standardize data structures and definitions across reports and systems to maintain coherence and reliability.
• Lead initiatives to enhance data workflows, from collection to visualization, improving the performance of BI systems overall.

4, Team Leadership & Enablement

• Supervise and mentor a small BI or data analytics team, fostering professional development and alignment with business goals.
• Train internal stakeholders on self-service analytics, dashboards, and data literacy best practices.
• Maintain well-documented analysis methods, assumptions, and findings to ensure transparency and continuity in analytics work.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in BI, data analytics, or related roles, ideally in e-commerce or fast-paced startups.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for working with structured data.
• Strong command of data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio).
• Skilled in Excel/Google Sheets, with scripting capabilities in Python considered a plus.
• Familiar with experiment design and A/B testing platforms.
• Deep understanding of e-commerce workflows, forecasting, marketing analytics, and user behavior metrics.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to simplify complex data into strategic insights.
• Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior exposure to the ASEAN e-commerce ecosystem.
• Experience conducting competitive benchmarking and market intelligence research.
• Proven track record of building and optimizing reporting environments using modern BI stacks.
