- Understand about bill of material (BOM) structure of product.
- Assist in creating new Bills of Materials and maintaining existing Bills of Materials.
- Requires some knowledge in Engineering Change (EC) for product from manufacture site.
- Requires some knowledge and understanding of Bill of Materials within an ERP system and how they affect the manufacturing process.
- Generate, update and release picking documents.
- Ability to use CAD programs (Auto-CAD, Adobe Illustrator …) to investigate design and verify BOM accuracy. Conducts BOM and pick document reviews at various steps in the assembly and fabrication processes.
- Close cooperation with the design department and sales departments to optimally implement customer requests
- Requires the ability to understand engineering drawings to verify material usage and part quantities.
- Work directly between engineering, suppliers and purchaser to ensure product BOMs are setup correctly to issue jobs.
- Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of product BOMs and picking documents.
