JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the BIM Team Leader/Co Team Leader or Design Manager, the BIM Engineer is responsible for the creation of CAD drawings following the European Code and Company Guidelines and coordinates with the Checking Engineer and Team Leader in revising any arising matters.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive assignments from the Team Leader or Design Manager and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
•  Study job-related codes and regulations including Eurocode, technical guidelines on engineering practice, product specifications etc. and fully understand rules and regulations.
• Self-educate based on self-study guideline and topics proposed by line manager. 
• Read carefully structural analysis to understand the requirements.
• Review sketches, specifications, and other engineering data received from Clients, Architects and implement;
• Prepare BIM models and design drawings based on the provided structural analysis following company design standards and SOPs;
• Be fully responsible for the quality and up-to-date of the design drawing assigned;
• Be responsible for all clarifications and queries related to drawing, communicating, and coordinating with the team leader
• Be responsible for deadlines, inform the Team Leader in advance if any deadline cannot be met, and provide for solution;
• Coordinate with the Team Leader and QA to ensure the quality of drawings is met at any time, follow strictly the QA procedure of the company;
• Produce models and drawings in full compliance with the company’s QA/QC procedure; Coordinate with the QA Eng Team Leader for any arisen matters;
• Coordinate with the Team Leader and QA Engineer for any arisen matters;
• Undertake QA tasks, check, review, correct, and sign own or assigned design drawings before every submission;
• Ensure conformity to customer specifications, company standards as well as other regulation requirements.
• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes; Inform Team Leader immediately if design changes are additional service due to changes of Client/ Architecture/ Structure etc.;
• Maintain notes, design calculations, and other documentation (like drawings, list of design parameters,etc.) for future reference;
• Report on the progression of drawing completions, and ensure the timely completion of all assigned drawings based on the time schedule prepared by the team leader; ensure meeting personal performance level set by the Company;
• Take part in regular company training and attend tests in order to collect evidence of successful completion of training sessions;
• Assure the minimum average performance is met as per company average rate (delivered planned hours/ working time > 70%)
• Assure quality performance as per company policy;
• Responsibility for following up regularly with the line manager about personal performance data. Obtain monthly personal performance overview and submit the individual performance to the Team Leader on time, provide explanation to team leader if performance not in accordance with company policy; · Comply with the Team Leader's decision to improve yourself, take part in training as per company rules; · Give advice for any opportunity to improve company procedure; · Make the working environment professional, quiet, clean and comfortable · Follow company regulations · Record working hours accurately and daily on the correct project and task assigned following SOP

EXPERIENCE; KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate student in a related field (Civil- & Structural Engineering or Technical College)

Qualifications & Essential Skills

• Past Training period at Company onboarding including training test with acceptable results;
• Past Test for Junior BIM Engineer
• Quick comprehension and good 3-dimensional and structural perception.
• Being able to respect tight deadlines and work under pressure, work with minimum supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time; Ability to develop effective working relationships with staff, peers, and industry colleagues/contacts in a team environment.
• Able to think globally and work with various cultures/backgrounds.
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt to change.
