Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join our data team. In this role, you will develop and maintain data pipelines using Apache Spark while working in a collaborative environment that values independence and creative problem-solving. This position offers significant growth opportunities through structured mentorship from senior team members.

• Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using Apache Spark
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data infrastructure

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience for similar positions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• Proficiency in Java programming (essential for learning Scala)
• Basic understanding of data processing concepts
• Willingness to learn Apache Spark and distributed computing technologies
• Familiarity with database systems (relational and/or NoSQL)
• Strong problem-solving attitude with eagerness to identify root causes rather than just symptoms
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements
