Tasks:
- Responsible for nanocrystalline strip alloys
- Maintain expert level of different alloys with special focus on Nanoperm: Fe73,5Cu1Nb3Si15,5B7.
- Maintain expert level for creating annealing programs for EMC, CT, RCD and PT cores.
- Full technical responsibility to define quality criteria incl. measurement possibilities for the produced strip followed by supporting to install the needed processes into production.
- Close cooperation with our core production location in Magnetec Hungary to ensure a close feedback loop regarding defined quality criteria and actual core production
- Close cooperation with our core production location in Magnetec Hungary to research different alloys for special products with the clear goal to create a unique alloy which can achieve its own patent.
- Close cooperation with Application Engineers, Product Developers and Product Managers group wide to ensure the current alloys are still in accordance to our needs and ensure necessary steps towards further potential alloys which can ensure future or current requirement better.
- Gain and maintain knowledge about end product requirements (CT-, EMC- and RCD cores)
- Developing and supporting of the project-specific alloy combined with the intensification of global development activities with early incorporation of potential supplier know-how into the development process.
- Customer-oriented, innovative and quality-oriented planning, management and continuous monitoring of the progress of development projects. Expenditure estimation as well as preparation of project plans and specification sheets. Calculation of manufacturing and development costs and executing of cost analysis. Ensuring Target Costing and Time to Market. Responsibility for compliance with project goals regarding function / specifications, costs, resources, quality and deadlines.
- Technical consultancy of Application Engineers, Product Developers and Product Managers group wide. Analyzing customer- and market-requirements, technical clarification with customers and suppliers. Binding creation of customer specific needs and requirements/specifications. Carry out analyses, modelling and simulations and check them with norms and standards as well as test results. Proof of technical feasibility with prototypes and state-of-the-art development tools, especially for system requirements for more complex requirements. Development of system requirements and the overall concept. Commissioning of the new solution inhouse or/and at customer-side. Contribute to damage analysis and creation of risk analysis.
- Responsible for regular technical benchmarking of all products with the competition in terms of specification and costs. Analyzing, evaluating and executing measures to improve competitiveness.
- Support the implementation of design- and process-FMEA, PPAP, lesson-learned, agile development and other relevant Development- and Automotive processes, tools and methods.
- Ensures that all operations are performed in compliance with relevant local, state and federal laws and regulations. Build and maintain good relationship with customers, suppliers and partners.
- Support the drive of the operational excellence and best practices across the network.
- Representing Magnetec at customer events/fairs and audits.
- Provide design and specification development support to consultants, integrators, and distributors.
- Perform technical/ product training for engineers and other positions at targeted accounts.
- Assist in the design and development of new products and tools necessary to make target accounts comfortable and successful at designing inductive components.
- Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company approved databases
- Collaborate with all local colleagues and as well from the whole group ­– including international travel - to create a corporate culture that strives on achievement and embraces continuous improvement
