The Production Planning Team Leader is responsible for building and smoothly operating production plans to meet human resource needs, allocating resources between production locations to ensure production efficiency according to customer requirements and company standards.
Job Description
● Develop an overview of the production resource plan.
○ Responsible for developing production plans and allocating manpower to meet annual, monthly, and daily revenue targets.
○ Calculate and forecast future production needs.
Implement resource allocation.
○ Receive information, plan additional manpower in production for the respective manufacturing locations according to resource requirements at different times.
○ Develop skills training plans for locations to meet production demands.
● Develop a detailed production resource plan.
○ Responsible for daily and monthly production (personnel) planning for all manufacturing locations to ensure on-time delivery and optimal production costs.
● Personnel management.
○ Arrange personnel for each shift.
○ Establish and monitor department KPIs.
○ Train new employees.
● Develop operational procedures.
○ Build a standardized work documentation system for the department.
○ Develop a reporting system.
○ Standardize workflow processes.
● Other tasks
○ Continuously optimize production planning and workflows to achieve delivery targets and cost efficiency.
○ Develop and manage team reports.
○ Coordinate operations with other teams.
○ Participating in the weekly meeting with the Production Management and Task Force team, bi-weekly Long-term planning meeting and other irregular meetings as required.• At least 2 years of experience in production planning or production management.
• Have proven knowledge / understanding of human resource allocation, human resource management, production planning, and operations management.
• Have very good skills in developing data management systems and report systems.
• Possess data-driven and ownership mindset.
• Have proven skills in team building and managing projects.
• Experience with photo & video production in a fashion/eCommerce/creative studio is preferred.
• Comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment, flexible in changing direction as needed.
• Good at Excel, Google office service, Power Point.
• Strong team player, detail oriented, proactive, self-driven and result oriented.
• Excellent communication skills, and perform well under pressure.
