Silentium is a software consulting company focusing on building products for our partners, mainly in Europe. At the moment, we are partnering with doctor associations in Germany to build next-gen software to serve the German market.

To fuel the growth, we are looking for an energetic Quality Assistant/ Quality Control Engineer to share the journey of learning and growing.

Our Technical Stack

We use Next.js for the front end. On the backend, we use a mix of Node.js, Golang

The application is split into multiple micro-services, deployed onto a Docker Swarm infrastructure and we are using MongoDB

On the testing side, we use

• Unit test where applicable
• Integration test and Component test where applicable
• End-to-end test using Playwright

Responsibilities

• Help build a Test Plan and prepare testing data
• Analyze and help the Product team with writing testing notes prior to handing them over to the Development. You will not have the whole time in the world for quality control, as such, you’ll support making bugs less likely to happen
• Work closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Technical Lead to improve the product quality
• Support defining the user story acceptance criteria and ensuring stories meet a high level of quality
• Build and maintain automation scripts when applying changes to the system
• Maintain accessibility and reusability of fixtures
• Support the engineering team building automation for releasing a feature
• Build and maintain automation for cross-function features, regression protection, full-flow system journey
• Be responsible for software quality assurance and testing in all testing environments as well as the Production environment
• Build and maintain automation scripts against the production environment
• Test, log bugs, track bugs, prioritize bug fixing with the Product Team
• Utilize our Youtrack ticket system to make bug reports
• Support developers in fixing bugs

• Have good analytical skills, you know what and where to put your focus. We have a pretty complicated product with a lot of compliances, the candidate should be able to tell us what matters and what less
• Have strong, soft skills, open-mindedness, and a can-but-not-blindly-do attitude. You have a "can-do" attitude, which is already very cool, but you also must be able to pause and ask, "Should we do it?"
• Have worked in a Product Development environment, it’s full of trade-offs, where you'll have to make a lot of decisions and be responsible for those
• Have experience in the Agile/Scrum team
• Fast learner, willing to share, willing to learn, as we have a lot of ownership in the tool, and the method we use, we are happy to adopt new things where they make sense, and we hope you enjoy doing that as well
• Understand the value of utilizing tests to manage delivery quality, but with balance; Because we sure can cover everything, just a matter of "time"
• And be a TEAM PLAYER, because we can move nowhere without a team
• We have few foreigners on the team, so we expect you are comfortable with communicating in English
• Experience in writing code in JS/TS
• A plus if you have experience in the Healthcare domain
