WHAT IS THIS POSITION ABOUT?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Affairs Manager to join our team in Vietnam.

As the Corporate Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advocacy strategies to enhance JTI’s reputation and promote its interests among our stakeholders, working closely with the Corporate Affairs Director. You will engage with key external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and media outlets, to understand and influence matters which may affect our business, partners and consumers.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Regulatory Affairs
•Monitor and analyze policy and regulatory developments that may impact JTI and advise senior management on potential risks and opportunities
•Identify, understand, map and build relationships with the key external stakeholders close to the issues that impact JTI
•With your thorough understanding of the political and legislative process in Vietnam and together with Regional and Global colleagues, devise strategies to effectively deliver JTI’s views to key stakeholders
•Collaborate with business associations and industry counterparts to advance JTI's views on policy matters
•Further develop JTI’s positive relationship with government agencies and law enforcement involved in the fight against the illicit tobacco trade, working closely with JTI’s Regional Anti-Illicit Trade Operations team and external partners
•Work as part of a cross-functional taskforce to ensure that JTI Vietnam’s tobacco taxation strategies reflect the current realities and anticipated changes to the fiscal and regulatory landscape

Internal and External Communications
•Provide direction on various leadership communication platforms in line with JTI corporate guidelines for the Line Manager, GM and local management team to effectively and efficiently communicate and engage internally with employees on both corporate level and local market business plans, company policy changes and compliance initiatives
•Supervise all the external communication initiatives that the company undertakes with government agencies, the media or members of the public
•Leveraging the Community Investment projects to engage the local employees and encouraging opportunities to participate and developing the relevant communication strategy to highlight their efforts

Operational support
•Work with relevant teams and external partners to ensure licenses required for operations are obtained (e.g. for new products)
•Nurture relationship with partners, distributors and local authorities to support our speed to market and take prompt actions to prevent any disruptions to business operations
•Provide support to colleagues responsible for internal communications
•Management of internal reporting, budgeting and financial updates.
