As a pivotal member of our esteemed Service team, the Senior / Technical Service Engineer reports directly to the Service Manager. This role provides specialized technical expertise, encompassing Installation, Commissioning/Decommissioning, Maintenance, and Calibration for our suite of products, leveraging our comprehensive technical knowledge base. The overarching objective is to actively contribute to the growth of our service portfolio, elevate levels of customer satisfaction, and remain well-versed in dynamic industry trends. This position holds instrumental significance in furthering our overarching mission to ensure unparalleled customer satisfaction and cultivate enduring relationships within the service and aftersales sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical support and expertise in the areas of product installation, commissioning/decommissioning, maintenance, and calibration.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Manage and oversee project implementations, ensuring they align with established technical standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Address and resolve escalated technical issues from customers, demonstrating a high level of responsiveness and professionalism.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to customers during the installation and operation of products.
- Conduct training sessions for internal teams and customers to enhance technical knowledge and proficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, sharing relevant knowledge within the team.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to product installations, maintenance procedures, and technical specifications.
- Generate reports on technical service activities and project progress for internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement and uphold quality control measures to ensure the highest standards in product installations and services.
- Perform regular audits to verify compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Manager to align technical service activities with overall service and business objectives.
- Provide regular updates on project statuses and technical service operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the technical service function and contribute to the implementation of efficiency measures.
- Participate in post-implementation reviews to gather insights for continuous improvement.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their technical needs and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Proactively communicate with customers regarding service-related updates, improvements, and new offerings.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all technical service activities.
- Implement and promote a safety-first culture within the technical service team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related field (preferable in medical devices or biomedical)
- At least 4-5 years’ experience in maintenance field and/or working in service contract.
- Experience in medical devices is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting and strong problem-solving skills
- Quick learner, team player and ability to work independently with a minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
