The Procurement Assistant is responsible for supporting the Wuerth Industry Purchasing Task Force in APA (Asia Pacific & Africa) in development of strategic procurement initiatives.
The mission is to enhance operational efficiency by optimizing procurement processes, driving supplier relationships, and implementing effective cost-control measures.
• Procurement Planning and Strategy: Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies and plans based on business requirements. Analyze historical procurement data to forecast future needs and budgets.
• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and compare prices. Analyze trends in the supply chain, including price changes, supply shortages, and potential risks.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Generate reports on procurement activities, including spending, savings, and supplier performance.
• Data Management and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, and supplier performance data. Analyze procurement data to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement processes.
• Collaborative Work: Work closely with departments in APA Wuerth Industry companies to align procurement goals with organizational objectives. Provide support and advice to internal stakeholders regarding procurement needs and options.
• Other tasks assigned by the company• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management or supply chain management.
• Experience working with SAP in business process analysis and optimization.
• Prior experience in process automation, RPA, or Hyper-automation initiatives is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Power Automate, or other RPA platforms is an advantage
• Familiarity with business process mapping tools like Visio
• Understanding of data analytics and reporting tools to measure automation impact
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Preferably with knowledge in the field of fastening materials, C-parts products or related industrial materials.
• Proficient in English
