Advise là gì?

Advise là động từ tiếng Anh, có ý nghĩa là đưa ra lời khuyên.

Các cấu trúc Advise thường mạng ý nghĩa là đưa ra một lời khuyên về chủ đề hoặc lĩnh vực mà bạn có kiến thức hoặc kỹ năng đặc biệt. Ví dụ:

• Nam advise me that I should buy this book, it’s a best-seller (Nam khuyên tôi mua cuốn sách nó, nó bán rất chạy)
• My doctor advised me against smoking (Bác sĩ của tôi khuyên tôi nên tránh hút thuốc)

Cách sử dụng cấu trúc Advise

1. Cấu trúc Advise với mệnh đề

Công thức:

S + advise + that + S + (should) + V

Ví dụ:

• My father advises me that i should go to Thuong Mai University (Bố tôi khuyên tôi rằng tôi nên học trường Đại học Thương Mại)
• We’re advising that children be kept at home (Chúng tôi khuyên rằng trẻ con được giữ tại nhà)
• They advise that workers have a legal contract signed (họ khuyên rằng công nhân có hợp đồng pháp lý đã ký)

2. Cấu trúc Advise với to V 

Cấu trúc này dùng để khuyên ai đó nên làm hoặc không nên làm gì. Công thức:

S + advise + O + to/not to V

Ví dụ: 

• I think I’d advise Lan not to leave the company (Tôi nghĩ tôi sẽ khuyên Lan không rời khỏi công ty)
• Our teacher advise us to work hard (Giáo viên chúng tôi khuyên chúng ta nên làm việc chăm chỉ)

3. Cấu trúc Advise với các giới từ

Chúng ta có thể sử dụng advise với các giới từ là against, on, about. Cùng tìm hiểu về cấu trúc advise với từng giới từ nhé:

Cấu trúc Advise với against: Cấu trúc này mang ý nghĩa giống với cấu trúc advise not to V, có ý nghĩa khuyên ai không nên làm gì đó. Against là một giới từ nên theo sau đó sẽ là động từ dạng V-ing.

S + advise + O + against + Ving

Ví dụ:

• I advise you against drink that water – It’s terrible (Tôi khuyên bạn không nên uống nước ở đó – nó thật kinh khủng)
• Nam strongly advise me against trusting Lan (Nam thành thực khuyên tôi tránh việc tin tường Lan)

Cấu trúc Advise với on/about:

S + advise + O + on/about + N

Ví dụ:

• My Economic teacher advises me on financial issues (Giáo viên bộ môn kinh tế đã đưa ra lời khuyên về vấn đề tài chính)
• The boss advised on work ethics (Người sếp đã đưa ra lời khuyên về tinh thần làm việc)

Phân biệt Advise và Advice

Advise là một ngoại động từ, còn Advice là một danh từ không đếm được có ý nghĩa là lời khuyên, lời gợi ý cho ai làm điều gì đó.

Khi sử dụng Advice, bạn có thể sử dụng “ Piece(s) of advice”. Cấu trúc Advice thường gặp là:

S + give + O + advice

Ví dụ:

• Let me give you some advice, I’m a professional (Hãy để tôi cho bạn một vài lời khuyên, tôi là một chuyên gia)
• Can you give me a piece of advice on how to manage my time? (Bạn có thể cho tôi một vài lời khuyên giúp tôi quản lý thời gian không?)

Cách viết lại câu với Advise

Một số dạng mẫu câu dưới đây có thể được viết lại với cấu trúc Advise như sau:

 S + advise + O + not/to V
