Bài mẫu Topic Car Trip IELTS Speaking Part 1

1. Do you like to travel by car?

Oh yes. I live in a tropical country like Vietnam, whose average temperature is quite high, so travelling in hot days is technically torture. Going by cars helps reduce the stress, since the AC’s available. It’s also a quick and convenient means of transport, so I mostly choose it if we have to go to any distant destination.

Hoặc:

Yes, I do. As I don’t like riding cause I’ll get all sweaty, and I am way too scared of flying as I have a fear of plane crashes, and public transports, like buses, are always behind schedule, so personally, car is my favorite means of transport. When I travel by car, there is no need to rush from place to place. It’s a perfect opportunity for slow travel and take my time. That way, I can catch the scenery and relax, while listening to my favorite music on the road.

2. When do you travel by car?

I don’t use cars much, since I mostly travel around the city centre. I would use it when I’m in a hurry, or when the weather conditions are bad, like when a heavy rain occurs. And of course, if the place I’m heading towards is far from Hanoi, cars are more suitable compared to, say, motorcycles or bicycles.

Hoặc:

When I take a road trip with family or friends, we usually travel by car. We usually spend 1 or 2 days traveling to somewhere near Hanoi. The advantage of traveling by our own car is that we do not have to follow someone’s schedule, it is easy to find a compromise and decide to stop or make a longer pause for rest. It’s like, if someone in our group likes a view of the sunset, we can stop our car and take pictures. This is hardly possible if we are traveling by bus.

3. Where is the farthest place you have travelled to by car?

I am not an active traveller, so the farthest place I’ve been to by car must not be that far at all. My hometown, Nam Dinh, is probably the trip that takes the most time in my travelling experience due to its distance from Hanoi. It is more than 80km, and would take almost 2 hours by car.

Hoặc:

The farthest place I have traveled to by car is probably Quang Ninh, which is a coastal city in the north. It took us about 6 hours to get there, and we had many opportunities to experience the breathtaking, scenic routes on the way, and even pulled over several times to enjoy the gorgeous scenery and take photos. I think that was one of the best experiences I have ever had.

4. Do you like to sit in the front or back when travelling by car?

I prefer front seats because it’s more isolated. I feel like I can just doze off when I want to, without being afraid that I might upset or bother people sitting in the back with me. Also, the front seats have very nice views of the streets and surrounding areas.

Hoặc:

Well, for me, sitting in the front is much more interesting than in the back, and I often ask to sit in the front seat if that’s possible, as I can see more of the road, of other vehicles in front, and even the scenery along the way seems to be more beautiful from the front seat view. And when I sit in the front, I can also watch out for potential dangers that could happen and warn the driver if that is necessary.
