Entertainment programs such as movies, series, and many others often imported from abroad. People agree that getting movies and series from foreign country is good for cultural purposes. Hence, on the opposite, others believed that importing foreign programmes could kill local entertainment businesses. In this essay I would like to discuss both sides and present my own view.

Cultural education could be in a form of entertainment, whereas many programmes imported due to this statement. With learning other culture, local people could reflect to their own. They could judge whether their norm still applicable in the eye of times, whether it is valuable or not to be kept. Moreover, by absorbing foreign creation we can alleviate our value, seeing them as competitor and subsequently develop our own. Thus would lead to country improvement for the better.

On the contrary, importing foreign programmes could impact the local businesses particularly entertainment. It is not impossible that locally produced programmes can not compete to the quality that offered by overseas’ programmes. Accordingly, the local community would die down. In sequence, this phenomenon could shift trend, be it fashion, culiner, and others. External culture will become more common as per the demand of local people which continuously enjoying overseas programmes. The worst scenario from this is our people could forget their own norm and cultural practices.

Despite this different view points, there has to be a role to limit the influence of foreign culture in ones country. Government should be active to encourage their citizen to continue adoring their own home culture. In parallel, the citizens also has to write down patriotism and nationalism within their heart, then they would not easily sway by the influence of other’s culture. Therefore the impact of entertainment programmes which brought out from overseas will be attainable.

In conclusion, importing foreign entertainment programmes is good for cultural education. Hence if the afterward impact do not manage carefully, the downside effect would be created. Therefore, it is crucial to restrict its domination and to prioritize our nation’s and ancestor’s practices.

In the contemporary world, though the cinematic world has gained tremendous improvement, certain countries fall short on producing qualified movies or programs. Therefore, whilst individuals claim that  bringing outside cinema content to a local country is a good practice, proponents of conservative side  prefer other alternative, producing local movies.  It is my contention that each side has its own merits and demerits depending on the perspective and integration volume of local culture to the outside environment.

To begin with, one of the obvious impacts of globalization is the integration of cultures through media and movie sectors. It is important to acknowledge that importing foreign movies will eventually reflect on the culture of locals by establishing a broader view of the different cultures, making movies and programs much more attractive to the consumers. This can be especially beneficial in countries with limited domestic production capabilities, where the variety of local content might be insufficient to cater to the public’s diverse tastes.

On the other hand, emphasizing the production of local content has its own significant advantages. First and foremost, it promotes the preservation and celebration of a country’s own cultural heritage and unique stories. Local films and TV shows can reflect the society's specific values, issues, and traditions, resonating more deeply with domestic audiences. Additionally, investing in the local entertainment industry boosts the economy by creating jobs, encouraging local talent, and potentially leading to international recognition of home-grown stars and productions

In my opinion, a balanced approach is most beneficial. While it is important to protect and promote local cultures and industries, global exposure is equally important in our interconnected world. Countries should aim to foster a diverse media landscape where both foreign and domestic productions can coexist. This not only ensures a richer cultural experience for audiences but also encourages the growth and globalization of the local media industry. Such a strategy encourages cultural exchange and understanding, promotes economic growth, and enriches the national cultural identity.

Importing foreign movies and TV shows is believed to be better for the culture of a country than producing them locally. This author will argue both for making native entertaining shows due to their financial merit and for buying foreign programs owing to the fact that they are of fine quality and will give a personal opinion later on.

Beginning with non-native TV shows and movies, it is undeniable that they are of a high standard. This is because their origins are mostly developed countries, where the filming industries are packed with professional gear, advanced technologies, and a specialized workforce. Resulting from this are blockbusters that bring mind-blowing cinematic experiences and TV shows that attract millions of viewers. Taking the example of “Family Feud,” a classic American program that, despite ending nearly a decade ago, is still going viral on social media platforms. In addition, these entertaining products also act as a real helping hand for language learners worldwide.

Turning to producing domestic TV shows and movies is truly beneficial for a country's financial development. By investing in native studios and producers, their later success will generate enormous amounts of money. Malaysia would be the perfect example for this point. This country’s authority provides funds for new animation studios, leading to the success of Monsta with its movie "Boboiboy,"  which earned more than 45 million in theaters around the globe.

All in all, importing foreign movies and shows benefits viewers with their quality, while making local programs can boost the economy. The perspective of the writer is that native entertainment industries should be encouraged by investments and funds in order to promote domestic culture as well as provide chances for youngsters to start up their businesses.

There has been a difference of opinion regarding the merits of foreign movies and TV channels to the culture of a country as people believe domestic products would be better. From my perspective, both of those categories are equally important.

On the one hand, people usually believe foreign films and TV telecasts can contribute to the cultural diversity of a nation. Fascinating social norms and practices, such as public hugging which is common in the US, can follow the wave to other nations as Hollywood blockbusters are becoming more popular. This phenomenon is believed to benefit the richness of the host country’s traditional backgrounds. Moreover, the import of international movies and TV shows could perfect the flaws of the country’s sets of beliefs. In Vietnam, for example, the ceremony of funerals is often perpetuated with ongoing depraved customs such as gambling and drinking. Since the arrival of TV shows from more developed nations, which triggers a new and civilized way of thinking, such practices have been gradually aborted.

On the other hand, it appears to me that producing local movies and TV programs has the same importance. Citizens of a country would be able to acquire knowledge about their own culture. Apparently, profound insights of traditional values can be vividly conveyed in cinemas and on the media if the content is made by local people. The second point to be considered is that this way can relieve the worry of cultural assimilation which has emerged as a detriment to the existence of a country’s traditional beliefs and customs. In fact, if exotic practices are absorded thoughtlessly, it might lead to the oblivion of the long-standing ethics, which emphasizes the necessity for domestic products.

In conclusion, I would argue that both types of films and TV telecasts play an equal role in a country’s culture.

Many individuals think that importing foreign films and TV programs is good for the nation’s culture while the other say that investing in local movies is a better choice. This writer agrees with the former statement because it not only provides knowledge of different countries but also saves time and will discuss both views in this writing essay.

It is evident that using money to buy programs on TV and movies from another country helps people to learn more about international culture. Making a film requires unique landscapes and scripts in order to attract people so most  film producers have created myriad  masterpieces based on the culture in their countries. Due to this, watchers can learn more about global cultures and expand their knowledge. Take Japanese movies as an example, many countries bought movies from Japan and it affected people in these nations. Many people decided to cosplay to characters in these films in order to show their excitement on these products.

Besides this, governments do not have to spend money on creating films so it will not take too much time. Instead, they can allocate money to other facilities by the way constructing more houses and improving health services and people’s lives will be developed and become more convenient. If authorities can do this, their countries will be prosperous.
