This role ensure that follows the direction of manager to IFRS17 implementation on Finance aspect of Phu Hung Life (PHL) business both to Local and Group senior management team including the development of detailed analysis. This position assists the team lead of the IFRS17 project in the implementation of the new insurance accounting standards for Phu Hung life and support Fortune Life (FTL) if needed. This position also involves and supports some BAU tasks which are assigned by manager. This role requires good communication and organization skills, time-management skill and demonstrated abilities to work well within a team environment.

• Work closely with the technical work-streams to ensure the solution meets the business requirements. This will involve:

o Reviewing and testing the data and reporting from source systems (policy administration system, expense, finance ledgers) to ensure the correct data can be sourced to drive the accounting and reporting requirements.

o Modelling business requirements and use cases as a basis for testing the configuration and outputs of the systems and tools.

o Working with the stakeholders to ensure that the accounting and reporting solution is correctly configured and designed in readiness for validation and testing.

• Involve in IFRS17 assessment, work closely with the business functions to support and develop their understanding of the gaps raised from assessment result.

• Provide assistance in the development on the product, including:

o The underlying transactions and data requirements

o The associated accounting rule

o Assistance in the knowledge transfer of the product to users across the business:

• Participate in reviewing the new work process and controls (including documentation of SOPs of IT, Finance and Actuarial) with the new framework.

• Contribute to managing the various work-streams, bringing together cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end delivery of key milestones.

• Interpret data related to the business; interpreting the meaning of information for others – translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used.

• Perform other accounting and general office duties assigned by managers.

1. Qualifications and Experience

o University graduate in Accounting, Finance major (CPA/ACCA qualification as plus)

o A minimum of 5 years’ business experience preferably in accounting and financial within the life insurance industry.

o Good working knowledge of accounting and financial aspects.

o Previous experience working closely with Actuarial and IT department

2. Competencies and specialized knowledge

o Demonstrated good analytical and problem-solving skill

o Proactively engage and work with related key business partners

o Ability to prioritize tasks and meet established deadlines.

o Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

o Detail oriented, well organized, self-starter.

o Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint
