Overall Purpose
Head of Finance & Accounting (Director) is responsible for directing the Company’s financial operations and formulate strategies to ensure the achievement of corporate goals. This role provides financial leadership and maintains control of all company financial matters in order to safeguard the Company’s assets.

Head of Finance & Accounting (Director) ensures that financial policies and procedures are implemented and reviewed continually and that all statutory reporting are complied to. In addition, Head of Finance & Accounting (Director) is responsible for continually seeking process improvements through technological upgrades and / or process re-engineering in order to meet the demands of the business as a result of expansion and growth and is also responsible for ensuring the efficient management of the IT operation

JOB FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
1 – Strategic Leadership
• Contribute to the Company’s business strategy by developing and implementing short-term to long-term financial plans in line with the organization’s overall objective.
• Conduct due diligence and feasibility studies as part of the organization’s business development and expansion activities and advise senior management on the soundness of proposed investments.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective financial framework covering risk management, treasury, tax planning, financial control and management information systems processes
• Oversees the annual budget exercise for the function and works with the Controller as required
• Oversee the execution of IT solutions that are efficient, cost effective, and supports the organization’s business expansion plans
• Keeps abreast of regulatory updates as well as key trends in finance and accounting and IT and provide updates to Board of Management and implement changes to key processes, where required

2 – Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the review and implementation of sound financial policies, systems and procedures for the organization and ensures compliance.
• Responsible for the efficient management of the Accounting & Finance and IT Function in the areas of:
o Accounting
o Treasury
o Tax
o Corporate Finance
o Governance, Risk Management and Compliance
o IT
• Overall responsible for the timely and accurate financial reporting on a regular basis and provide updates and analysis to Board of Management
• Ensures that financial statements are reported as per statutory requirements
• Overall responsible for Corporate Governance / Risk Management and Compliance
• Ensure that Corporate Governance and Risk Management program has been implemented properly in all levels inside the company
• Ensure that the financial systems (i.e. credit management, accounts payables, general ledger) are in order to provide accurate and timely management information and to meet group reporting deadlines.
• Ensure the cash flow position of the Company remains healthy by overseeing the sourcing of beneficial interest rates.
• Overall responsible for the corporate tax reporting and ensures that statutory reporting is adhered to
• Leads the investor relations efforts of the organization and serves as a key representative of the organization
• Liaise with external auditors, review recommendations and enhance policies and processes where necessary.
• Oversees the execution of key process improvement projects identified (e.g. with vendors or within the Division) and monitors key milestones
• Oversee PTG technology resources and ensures that the it works effectively and reliably
• Provide advice to Board of Management on financial feasibility and risk matters

3 – Staff Management & Development
• Identify the necessary skill sets required to meet business demands and ensure that recruitment, compensation and retention strategies are aligned to meet requirements.
• Review the performances of direct reports to ensure that individual and organizational targets are met
• Set and communicate performance targets for the staff to ensure alignment of the individual’s objectives to the corporate objectives.
