Purpose:
To address the growing production volume of davits, winches, and boats (GRP & Aluminum), we are expanding our warehouse capabilities by recruiting a Warehouse Management Specialist. This pivotal role will be instrumental in streamlining material flow, enhancing storage efficiency, reducing lead time, and enabling on-time delivery performance across both of our manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead warehouse operations at two locations and directly manage a team of 5-6 warehouse personnel.
• Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring seamless alignment with production and outbound logistics schedules.
• Drive improvements across receiving, storing, picking, issuing, and inventory control processes.
• Redesign and optimize warehouse layout and material flow to support lean manufacturing principles.
• Deploy and maintain visual management tools (e.g., Kanban) for stock control and material replenishment.
• Ensure proper zoning, labelling, and utilization of storage space to maintain safety and operational efficiency.
• Interpret technical specifications and understand material criticality to define proper storage, handling, and protection standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Logistics to ensure synchronized operations.
• Maintain accurate system data through ERP and digital warehouse management tools.
• Champion the implementation of 5S, EHS standards, and continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse operations.• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in warehouse or logistics management within a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth understanding of inventory management, warehouse layout optimization, and material handling techniques.
• Proven experience in implementing Kanban systems and lean warehousing practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings/specs and assess material sensitivity for correct storage and handling.
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and warehouse management software.
• Strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to lead cross-functional coordination.
