The Quality Supervisor oversees and ensures the quality of CNC machined parts and assembly parts in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards. This role is responsible for leading quality inspectors, monitoring quality processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring customer requirements and regulatory standards are met.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
1. Quality Control & Compliance
Supervise the quality inspection team (incoming, in-process, final inspection) to ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Review and approve first article inspection (FAI), in-process inspection, and final inspection reports. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards.
Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, Vision inspection systems, etc.).
Monitor, implement, maintain, and develop quality procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
Ensure WI and checksheets are completed and deployed for QC and relevant teams.
2. Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, schedule, and develop quality inspectors across shifts.
Lead daily quality huddles or briefings; manage workload balancing and shift coverage
Train and mentor inspectors and production personnel on quality standards and inspection techniques: GD&T interpretation, visual inspection criteria, quality documentation practices...
Evaluate individual and team performance; identify training and development needs.
3. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA), 8D processes for internal and customer complaints.
Collaborate with NPI, Engineering, Production, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Support SPC initiatives, process capability studies, and data-driven quality decisions.
Recommend and implement improvements to inspection processes and quality workflows.
Support continuous improvement activities, including 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
4. Audit & Documentation Support
Participate in internal audits and assist with customer and third-party audits.
Maintain quality documentation and ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements
Other tasks assigned by the superior.Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in a CNC machining environment, including supervisory/ leadership experience.
Experience working under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
Deep understanding of 5 core tools and AQL rules: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
Proficient in reading technical drawings, ISO 2768, GD&T, and using precision measurement tools and inspection methods.
Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and quality tools (5 Whys, 8D, Fishbone, etc.).
Hands-on experience with CMM and familiarity with CMM software.
Experience with the SAP system
Detail-oriented and organized with good documentation practices (GDP)
Proficiency in English
Strong leadership and ability to work incross-functional team management skills
Excellent communication
Analytical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities- Laptop
