HCL is setting up large delivery centers for digital transformation projects in Vietnam and as part of that we are starting a delivery center in Ho Chi Minh City for Data transformation initiative of a major Global Bank. Work involves transforming legacy data into modern digital data technology and hosting it in Google Cloud Platform.

PURPOSE

• Assemble and lead architecture team capable of delivering solution architecture in line with S&A performance standards.
• Recruit and Grow internal capability
• Communicates key priorities, overarching delivery progress, hotspots & builds deep understanding of divisional agenda.
• Provide solutioning insights to the Client architects to meet domain objectives (business outcomes and business epics)
• Provide operational insights on the performance of the Client Architecture and recommended operational pivots to accelerate architecture solutioning.

• Leader must be knowledgeable in the Business Domain and Strategy and have the ability to translate these value drivers into executables technology deliverables aligned with Target Platform Architectures.
• Able to lead a team of solution architects providing fit for purpose burst capacity across Domains
• Understand the trade-offs involved in technology change while simultaneously delivering business benefit. Requires commercial acumen, business alignment and ability to negotiate.
• Understand current Technology and Industry trends, e.g. Cloud, Data, Micro-Services.
• Experience and demonstration of agile practices.

Experience

• 10+ years experience in the Technology industry & including leading architecture team
• Experience effectively engaging wide array of Senior stakeholders necessary to deliver transformational change at all levels of business, operations & technology
• Strong understanding of Architecture, Technology, analytics & business process based solutions.
• Experience in modernising Architecture Operations in large scale, complex organisations will be an advantage

Qualification Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical qualification
• Architecture or technology related certifications will be an advantage

KEY ACCOUNTABULITIES

• Build and lead a high performing team of architects -making architecture a magnet for talent in Vietnam.
• Strategically support and lead the deparment across a number of dimensions - risk management, culture, engagement, S&A overarching Scorecard delivery
• Development & driving cost efficiency initiatives across division
• Strong strategic planning capabilities; able to quickly toggle between strategic & tactical levels
• Leading and monitoring of division delivery performance, assurance activity, workforce planning and capability development
• Ensure alignment to consistent frameworks for continuous delivery
• Ensure appropriate controls are activated and embedded into all key delivery processes
• Provide Strategy & Architecture insights and recommendations to Board , CEO and ELG on state of Technology transformation, guiding investment recommendations.
• Represent an enterprise-wide perspective on re-use and optimisation of technology choices.
• Establish business unit budgeting, forecasting, and tracking
• Optimise Architecture's cost, personnel and resource management profile
