Role Purpose:

The Software Engineer role is essential in leading the development and maintenance of services related to critical remediation program at the bank on a big data Hadoop platform. This platform is designed with numerous capabilities to deliver an accurate remediation tasks and is critical from regulatory aspect for the bank. This position plays a crucial role in ANZ's commitment to pay the incorrect charges levied to customers historically which we call it as remediation.

Qualification:

List key qualifications that are relevant to this role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Candidates for Senior Engineer level must have a minimum of 6 years of IT experience, specifically in design and build activities.

Key Skills:

The ‘must have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:

• Programming experience in Java
• Expertise in building microservices using spring boot, spring security
• Expertise in at least one commercial distribution of Hadoop
• Expertise with Big Data Stack including Spark, Hive, YARN, Hbase, Oozie, Control-m etc
• Strong emphasis on code management using Git and configuration management practices, including CI/CD automation, and automated testing

Good to have’ knowledge, skills and experiences

• Familiarity with front end development experience with react, angular etc
• Fair knowledge and hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
• Aware of GCP platform and services.
