- We are establishing a new division to speed up our production on Hybrid-casual & Casual music games, bringing more engaging experiences to our users.
- Our New game division’s mission is to create new hit hybrid casual music games that make interacting with music fun and a part of everyone's daily life.
- This division is responsible for coming up with ideas, developing new games through in-house game development or collaboration with partners, then publishing and continuously improving the marketability and product performance of the games until they meet the company benchmarks for transferring to operation phases.
- The Division Head is the frontline leader of Amanotes, who leads the production and go-to-market of our games. We are establishing the new division with the division head as the first member, meaning the division head will recruit her/his whole team later. The division would wholly focus on hybrid casual music games.
- You will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
- Division & Game Strategy
- Define the division's strategy, which should consider the market, company strategy, and team capabilities in depth.
- Identify the needed capabilities and resources.
- Create different key scenarios for the planBreak down the division strategy to the game level
- Team Leadership
- Recruit, Lead, mentor, and develop the game development team
- Promote and uphold Amanotes' culture in the team as well as other principles of the division
- Game Project Management
- Oversee and support the team in bringing projects from concept to release to ensure alignment with strategy and effective use of resources and budget.
- Depending on the types of projects, the team you manage would be a combination of in-house production teams, outsourcing, and publishing studios.
- The scope of these projects mainly covers new ideas to prove product-market fit. However, some cases also cover scaling and maintaining the games.
- Performance management
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the game development team, projects, and the division.
- Cross-team collaboration
- Working with other function departments and defining the collaboration model that can fit well with the Division’s strategy and capabilities
- Executing and continuously improving the collaboration modelCommunicate with stakeholders, including other departments and external partners
- Company strategy contributor
- Co-creating company strategyBeing the sounding board for each other to raise each other’s bar
- Company Culture contributor
- Co-create, demonstrate, promote, and protect company culture
- 7+ years experience in the mobile game industry, especially in casual game
- 5+ years of experience in a game production-related leadership position
- Track record in leading the project delivery of casual or hybrid casual game projects from idea to market with solid commercial result
- Familiarity with working with in-house production team as well as publishing studios and outsourcing team
- Good balance between data-driven and creativity
- Strong leadership skills: ability to challenge and influence a variety of stakeholders.Self-starter who can identify and solve problems.
- Excellent change management skills, i.e., comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, yet able to set priorities and execute on commitments.
- Possess passion, energy, enthusiasm to drive results; highly action-oriented
