Role Description
BioTuring is seeking a passionate and talented Product Design to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our bioinformatics platform and ecosystem. We're looking for someone who thrives on designing intuitive and user-centered experiences for complex scientific data. As the product design, you'll wear many hats. You'll spearhead the design process from ideation to launch, translating complex scientific workflows into user-friendly interfaces.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for all features and functionalities within the BioTuring platform and ecosystem.
• Develop high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and user interface (UI) design elements.
• Translate complex scientific workflows into clear and intuitive user interfaces.
• Setting clear expectations, prioritizing features and functionalities based on their impact, managing timelines, and resolving roadblocks for the development team.
• Collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, and other product stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment with user needs.
• Create and maintain detailed flowcharts and user journey maps to document design decisions and user interactions
• Manage project timelines and milestones effectively to ensure on-time product releases.
• Champion user research and advocate for a data-driven design approach.
• Participate in product strategy discussions and provide design expertise.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design.

• 3+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on complex platforms, enterprise software, or visual product development.
• Strong understanding of design principles, including user experience (UX) research, interaction design, and visual design.
• Proven ability to create user-centered designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• A plus is a background in Biology or a related field to understand the scientific context of our platform.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor senior and junior team members.
